Hey dude, I love your podcast. I've started listening and I'm up to episode 34 now. I am hoping to get my stuff organized and self-publish it soon by listening to the advice you guys have. Some of the advice. It's like 70/30. 70% of what you guys say make no since and is so random that it's hard to follow unless you are part unicorn and part western or something.
Anyway, I've built a great fanbase here on Wattpad, and I hope to use some of that as my funnel and true fans to give my works away free to for reviews. I have over 6,000 followers on here (which I'm sure not all are part of 1,000 true fans), but there should be enough to get me started. My main book on here has 2.5 million reads and lots of votes and comments. So I'm really excited to get going on this journey. The only thing holding me back is an editor, since I'm no Johnny B. Truant who "doesn't need no stinking editor". Once I catch up on your podcast I'll probably call your hotline to ramble for a while like you guys do and add a question or two somewhere in between.
Though if you actually read these wattpad comments, perhaps you could let me know what you think about self-publishing a fantasy series. I have 2 books finished and a prequel. I'm currently writing book 3. I don't know if it'll be the last book or not. It's epic fantasy, and epically awesome, but you know how that is.
By the way, when does your Fat Vampire ride a Unicorn?
