Today is the day
Today is the day all of the eligible women get corralled into the local gym to be picked off like lamb to the slaughter.
I guess that's a little aggressive but that's pretty much what this is.
It's that time of the year that all of the eligible females between the ages of 18-25 are pooled together in hopes of being chosen by a pirate. Why you may ask? Well pirates have a big say so in our government, I'm guessing they're scared of what the pirates are capable of so they try to keep them happy and one of they ways they do that is showing off our eligible females so the pirates have a companion while at seas.

I woke up to my mom banging on my door "wake up Ophelia you're going to be late!"
I groaned and shoved my face back into my pillow and yelled back "alright I'm getting up!"
Not that I wanted too, all today meant was it I got chosen by a pirate I would have to leave everything and everyone I knew and loved. Slowly I made my way out of bed and padded over to the bathroom to take a shower.
After my show I let my hair air dry after putting in a little product to help my curls as well and adding two little brains in the front to help keep it out of my face, and I throw on a black sweater and a pair of jeans with a couple of rips in them. Putting on a little bit of makeup to make it look like I tried I looked in the mirror and smiled "this'll do" I thought to myself as I walked out of my room and grabbed my bag.
"Honey couldn't you have tried a little harder?." My mom asked and I rolled my eyes. "Mom you know I don't want to leave you behind or my friends" I said with a frown as I bit into an apple for a quick breakfast. "I know honey but this would be a great opportunity for us" I sighed and nodded and grabbed my keys and headed for the door but turned around and gave my mom a hug. "I know mom but what happens is not my choice" I say as I let go and kiss her cheek and then walk out the door to my car to head to the choosing.
