This story is a book that details the childhood and lives of Lucius, Narcissa, and Draco Malfoy.
It follows OC as she interviews the Malfoy family for Rita Skeeter, who has promised her a job at The Daily Prophet. The process finds her torn between her desire for the job and telling the truth she finds out about the Malfoys, as well as her illicit growing feelings for Draco Malfoy.

As usual, there are a few things I would like to clarify before we start ☺️

1. Story/Timeline
IMPORTANT: Please note that I have completely overwritten canon for the biggest plot point. This will be revealed later on in the story.
This is a very slowburn :)
There are two timelines:
✧ Real Time - which follows OC as she goes about her little project interviewing the Malfoys, as well as her relationship with Draco. Some chapters include Draco's POV, denoted with a '༻⚜️༺'
✧ Flashbacks - life stories told by Lucius, Narcissa, and Draco Malfoy. These are mostly labelled 'Reel #'.
It should be quite straight-forward as we go along the story, but if at any point it gets confusing, do let me know! :)
✧ Glossary - This book contains a lot of literary/mythological references and imagery. These are marked with footnotes (e.g. ¹, ², ³) in-text, and elaborated upon in the glossary at the end of this book. The glossary includes information on the works they were taken from, excerpts from the stanza or texts in question, and explanations on their meanings in relation to the story.
You can definitely choose not to refer as it doesn't take away any meaning but I thought it would add some depth to the reading experience hehe.
2. Trigger Warnings and Swearing
There are some sexual scenes, physical abuse, alcohol abuse, and swearing.
I will put trigger warnings for physical abuse and if there is mention of suicide.
I will not be putting warnings for sexual scenes, alcohol abuse, and swearing.
As of writing this, the story isn't yet complete. If there are any violent scenes or topics not mentioned here, I'll put warnings for those.
3. Characters
I've mostly based my iterations of the Malfoys off canon (both books and movies), but have taken some creative liberties and made up some of my own stuff.
For example, I've written their childhood from scratch, as well as created some of my own characters like Lucius' brother. I will probably add some of the Marauders along the way, as they would inevitably meet.
Additionally, as I mentioned earlier, I have completely overwritten canon for the main plot point of my story. Please don't be shocked!!
