Today is the day of the funeral and honestly I don't know how to feel. I'm heartbroken but I know she's content with everything. She knows she protected her child and died doing that so she's great. It's just like why her? You know. Why my mom?

Mari and Aja woke up early this morning and made a big breakfast for everybody. The whole gang came and we invited Skye and Cree. Skye said Tt cooked breakfast at mom's crib for the others. It's was 7:30, we prayed and started eating. Conversation was amazing this morning. Everybody was giving Skye and I encouraging words and the spirit in the house was just high and great. Once we were done eating it was 8:15. They started cleaning the kitchen while Mari braided my hair. I got a fresh cut yesterday so she just braided it for me. Once she was done, the kitchen was clean and everybody left to started getting ready at their houses. Mari and I went upstairs so I could iron our clothes and she do her hair and other stuff.

I was fidgeting and Mari came over to where I was.

"You alright??" She asked grabbing my arm

"Yeah..." I said but I was still fidgeting

"You wanna go smoke to help you calm down??" She asked

"I got to finish iro—..." I started

"It's alright, I'll finish..." she said grabbing the iron

"You gotta do other stuff, I'll do it..." I said

"It's fine Papa. Go calm yourself down..." she said pecking my lips 2 times

"Alright..." I said as she smiled at me

I grabbed my box, grabbed a pre-rolled blunt and a lighter. I went downstairs and out the patio door to sit. When I went out there I seen T smoking too.

"You alright??" She asked as I sparked the blunt up

"Mari told me to come calm myself down..." I said
"I was supposed to be ironing but I was fidgeting with shit, she seen it and she told me to come smoke to calm down and she had it..." I said blowing out smoke

"Got a good woman bro..." she said before taking a drag

"I know. That's why I can get enough of
her..." I said truthfully

"I'm the same way about Aja..." T said

"I'm thankful for her. She's been here for me since I found out what happened. She haven't left my side not once since we've been here..." I said

"Aja said the same thing last night. How whenever she's doing something she always think about you first. She fixes your food first, she makes sure your fine before she do anything..." T said

"I'm so in love with this woman I don't know what to do..." I said shaking my head
"I tell her I love her every day. I show her I love her. I express my emotions. I buy her things but I don't feel like that's enough. I wanna do something big..." I said looking at T

"What you got in mind??" T asked as I pulled off the blunt

"I want to ask her to marry me..." I said blowing out smoke

A smile grew across her face.

"I knew that was coming..." she said smiling

"How??" I asked looking at her

"Because the love y'all have for each other. I knew it was coming sooner or later. Then y'all was bout to start a family so I knew it wasn't far..." she said
