Prompt: Write a poem or prose for a person you have lost in the years.

About the poem: It's a friends to enemies poem. About my best friend who just... Drifted far from me. Although we are still in contact, it's not like before. She's reason to too many things in my life and i can't trust here back again. Anyways, i showed it to her, dedicating her the poem. Apparently, she failed to understand the real meaning (since I write trash) and so I never told her that's it's a poem written in anger. She was happy I write for her.

As I unfold some pages
of my worn out notebook
there isn't a rose
pressed to the brim
of its tolerance.
And not is there
any yellowing letter.
There are no photos
and neither are gift wrappers.

But yes,
there are sentences written
all over the plane.
Unsymmetrical and senseless.
Some saying shameless jokes.
Some conveying heartfelt notes.

Maybe my heart aches
at your name now.
Maybe there are bitter memories
between us.
But i choose to remember
these immature chatters
we did while sitting in
the class,
laughing under our breathes.

Some old days of laughter,
some mischievous plays.
Even though I feel an ache,
it would be good to have
my school days back
