𝗜 𝗧𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 the key through the lock and kicked off my low-rise converse while doing so.

"Hey, Ellie!" I heard Alina's very familiar voice call out from the room.

"Hi." I called back as I turned around and wandered further into the room, heading straight for my bed. "Did you give your homework in on time?" I asked while placing my tote bag down on the covers and pulled out the first book, from inside it.

"Yep, thanks to you." She grinned widely from her bed.

"Team work, baby." I smiled back to her while pulling out two more books and hung the bag up.

"Did you go to the library again?" I heard Alina ask. She already knew my answer but she always liked to ask about my adventures after class.

I nodded my head with a smile. "I finished my other book so I wanted to get some more." I explained while approaching my bed once again to put the books away.

"Ah. What ones did you get?" She asked as she sat up and shut her phone off.

I couldn't help but feel a heat on my cheeks from her actually being curious as to what I had picked out. "Oh, just Eleanor and Park, The Kiss Quotient and Ugly Love." I explained with a wicked smile. "I'm really excited to read them." Opening my bedside drawer, I placed the books inside before crawling onto my bed where I faced Alina.

"Hey, I was thinking. Since it's a Friday and I'm not doing anything tonight, I was wondering if you wanted to have a movie night type of thing." Her words sparked my curiosity greatly. "We could move the beds together, order food, watch some movies. I thought it could be fun." She looked and sounded extremely excited over the idea and I couldn't help but radiate the enthusiasm.

"Yeah, I'd love to do that. That's a really good idea." I praised, thoroughly enjoying the concept of her plan.

She nodded. "I thought it would be fun."

"Yeah, that sounds really fun. I'm down." My head ran with the idea, my heart only blossoming more and more at the idea. I didn't really understand why I was so infatuated with it but I was. I suppose it was the fact that she genuinely wanted to hang out with me and not the fact that she felt forced too. It made my heart explode.

We had grown quite close over these few weeks, Alina now becoming my very first, best friend. I really cared for her, maybe more than I should have in so little time and in such ways but I did. I couldn't help it. She was just so, likeable. She was just always so kind to me, no matter what, and I just loved it. It felt like she cared for me too and that just made everything even greater.

"Although, I am quite shocked that you aren't busy on a Friday night." I chuckled, even though I was ultimately a little confused that she wasn't out in a frat house with her friends.

"Yeah, I had to make some arrangements." She said slightly hesitantly which just caused me to laugh. She returned it before glancing at the time and then back at me. "You want to go get some snacks?"

"Oh, yeah sure. Let me just change clothes and we can go." I told her, just as I checked the time myself.

"Okay." Was her only reply, as she laid back down on her phone and I made my way over to the closet.
