but why can't bring myself to shut it off.
silence cuts deeper than your words.
even though you're just vocalizing my thoughts.
this insensitive society, lost a precious soul.
and like the passing wind, it's insignificant.
but if you bare your heart, they're at your throat.
so as our earth dies before our eyes.
let me numb my senses, my hollowed mind.
