The next day
I hate being in this hospital with a passion. I am tired as hell and it aint even from the baby, the nurses and doctors keep coming in here like every ten minutes for some shit and i am over it. Loyal had alot of testing and stuff to go through this morning and if they come back good we can leave hopefully tomorrow
"Knock Knock," The Nurse Shayla said as she entered the room rolling in the baby
Shayla was by far my favorite nurse
"Hey my man" i said as she passed him to my for feeding
She left out while I fed and burped him
He went back to sleep so I laid him down and decided i should try to take a nap myself

Spoke too damn soon "Come in"
Kevin and Mr.Heed walked in the door with balloons and bags
Coach sat the stuff down on the table and washed his hands "How you doing today babygirl?" he asked walking up to grab the baby
I cant wait to have my baby to my damn self. Its always someone coming to take him from me
"Im doing okay just tired" i sighed
"Here i brought you a sub and a lemonade" Kevin said sitting at the edge of the bed
We sat in silence as i ate my food
"So i know that this is the fairytale time but i think that yall need to get into the nitty gritty of parenthood. Visitations, expienses, ect " Coach said
"Well, I have a few non-negotiables. 1. Loyal is not going to be far from me for long periods of time for atleast the first four months and 2. I dont want him to leave the house like going out for the first month or two" I said finishing up my drink
Kevin nodded "No I agree with the those. I want to spend as much time as i can with him cause school and basketball start in two weeks "
"The college is about 30-45 mins from my apartment so i wouldnt mind bringing him or you coming to my apartment to see him cause i know between the two it could be difficult. Ill send you plenty of pictures and videos. Facetime. As far as expenses, he is good for a good while from the babyshower and Domo's mother went a little overboard with his stuff. After that runs out, we can just try to establish a 50/50 or something. I know you wont be working anymore with your basketball and school schedule " I rambled
"You know I'm good for it Jay. If he needs something, I'm only one call or text away for my son. I know you don't fool with my family too much but my family meets every Sunday for dinner, I know you not gon come to everyone but can you come like every other Sunday"
"Loyal can come but you know that I won't be there, especially after last time " Every Sunday damn near his whole family chooses a house and throw a big Sunday dinner, and in our whole relationship ive been to one. His mama is already a messy bitch but when she meets up with her sisters my mama almost went to jail
"To be honest I am barely at my house as it is so he will be between me and Domo's house. If you let me know in advance I can have his milk ready and he can come to your or Andrea's place but please make sure it's a clean environment and don't have him everywhere with a lot of people in his face. And one more thing on my end. Ya, mama. I've known you for years, you have a hard time saying anything to your mom but don't let her disrespect or be funny to my baby in any kind of way. "
"My mom wouldn't do anything to a baby Jayda and you know that"
" She doesn't give a damn about age because the whole time she was here the last time she disrespected every single person in the room including him. I'm letting you know in advance because you think she's overprotective when it comes to yall, I will happily serve time for him "
He rolled his eyes and took Loyal from his dad. He was agreeing to all of this stuff but o know that as soon as we leave it'll be over with.
"I know ole boy gon to be in his life but I ion want him to think he the daddy or something" Kevin mugged
"If you actually be a dad there won't be a way for anyone else to even attempt to step into your role. If you don't Domo has been and will be more than willing to step for my son. "
"I don't want my son thinking that some other nigga is his dad twin. That's all I'm saying cause your world will end if he calls drea mama or some " he grumbled
"Boy, you gon piss me. I will be an active figure in my son's life, he'll know who his mother is so if you don't want to be replaced I suggest you do the same. Every time we do good you want to say some dumb stuff that what erks me about you. And stop calling me Twin, I don't know how many times I have to tell you that" He sucked his teeth at me and gave me Loyal
"Im gone before you piss me the fuck off Jayda" He mugged me
"Okay bye the fuck. What you thought I was going to do cry and beg you to stay. He hasn't even been on this earth for 72 hours yet and you leaving him. Showed me what the next 18 years will be "
"Bitch miss me with that dumb ass shit" He yelled ready to walk out but his father blocked the door. I honestly forgot he was in there
"Alright, I thought I would let you two be adults but clearly I was wrong. KEVIN SIT THE FUCK DOWN" The shock that went to the room was crazy. Coach is normally quiet and chill off of the court and field. I've never seen him angry off the court especially directed towards me
Kevin sat in the seat that Coach was previously sitting in
"Now Jayda, I was listening to your points and everything but I want to say give him a chance. My knucklehead son messed up in the past ALOT I honestly don't know how yall lasted as long as yall did but I know that he has the potential to be a good father. I've seen him with his younger siblings and I can only imagine how he will be with his own son. And you Kevin. Let me first say that if I would've done everything that you have done to this girl, you might not have even been here. But if so her ass would be on the way to child support before you even took your first shit. The fact that you are in here with him is a blessing cause I would've put a restraining order on your dumb ass so be grateful that she is not me or your mother. Now Jayda has agreed to travel to the college so that you can see him and she said that he doesn't need something but I believe that about 500 a month should cover your financial absence. Jayda I know that is not a lot for a baby but with his hours being cut with me at the lawn care business I think that is enough without killing his pockets. I agree with the dinners even though I would honestly hope you would change your mind about your attendance Jayda. And as far as Domonique, Kevin you can't dictate what Loyal decides to call him when he is old enough to make that decision. The only thing that you could do is give Loyal the love and attention that a father should and he'll be able to see who his father is. Oh, and both of you stop calling each other out of yall names. That is not the type of environment that you want to bring up a child in, especially my grandson. Parenting is HARD and it doesn't end after 18 years so that little baby has bound you two damn near for the rest of your life, don't make it harder than it has to be" Coach sighed before kissing me and Loyal on the head
"Let me know if you need anything pop tart," he said calling me by my nickname from when we first started dating. Mrs.Heed might be black but her ass cant cook for nothing. The very first time I spent the night he caught me eating a box of pop tarts in the middle of the night
"I think that we will be discharged tomorrow if so I'll let you know," he said okay before both of them walked out the door leaving me with Loyal staring at me
"Thats your damn daddy and pawpaw for you son " I sighed
I talked to him a little more before he fell asleep and I laid him down in the crib before I tried to nap once again
