" Hey babe " I said sitting up
" Oh that's what I get a hey babe after you hang up on me angry what happened to our promise to never go to bed angry why do you think I drove 3 hours to find you sleeping on my brothers chest" he said looking hurt
" Adam I haven't been sleeping well and Luca surprised me and we had decided to watch a movie and I had fallen asleep" I said while moving carefully sitting up
" Luca can you leave so we can talk" Adam asked and Luca nodded and he got up walking out and Adam shut my door
" Adam why are you here" I asked and he sat on my bed
" Lace I think we need to talk about us" he said and I nodded
" What's wrong" I asked he grabbed my left hand looking at the ring
" What do I mean to you" he asked
" You mean everything " I said
" You mean everything to me too but I think it's best if we just take a break" he said and I looked at him

" I feel like we need some time apart I'm not breaking up with you I'm not calling off the engagement I wanna marry you I do we just need to think about what we want so I'm gonna go back to Ohio and your gonna stay here and continue your physical therapy then we'll talk before the season starts " he said and I nodded I could tell he was holding his emotion back
" Alright" I said pulling my hand away he sighed getting up and kissing my head and walking towards the door
" See ya" I said and he looked at me and smiled
