Arnav brought a morsel to Aryan's lips. The boy had refused to eat anything after whatever happened. He was feeling very upset. Arnav coaxed to him to eat a little.

"Kya hua, bacha?"

Aryan shook his head sadly.

Arnav put the plate away and sat beside him. Aryan put his head on his lap.

Arnav ran fingers through his hair. "Ayaansh abhi abhi humare ghar aaya hai na, beta. Usse time lagega hume apnane me. Uski baaton ko dil par mat le."

Aryan looked at him. "Bhai said we're not his family, Bhaiya. Kya sach me woh aisa sochte hai?"

"Nhi, bacha. Usne gusse me bol diya. Kisi ke bolne se ya sochne se sach nhi badal jata na. Aur rishtey dil se judte hai, beta, khoon se nhi." Arnav spoke gently.

Aryan nodded and hugged Arnav by his midriff. "Mai jaanta hoon, Bhaiya. Aapne humesha hume yahi sikhaya hai ki blood doesn't define a relation."

Arnav caressed his head.

"Bhai itna gusse me kyu the, Bhaiya?"

"Maine tere Bhai ko daant diya tha isliye. Tu jyada mat soch."

Aryan looked up at him. "Par aap toh humesha daantne ke baad kitna pyaar bhi karte ho. Phir bhi gussa ho gye wo?"

Arnav sighed. The boy wasn't ready to let him come near himself. How was he supposed to do the aftercare?

"Uski tabiyat kharab thi na, bacha. Aaram kar lega toh apne aap gussa shaant ho jayega, hm?"

Aryan nodded.

"Saara pyaar apne laadle pe luta doge kya, Bhaiya?" Aniket walked inside the room.

Aryan looked up from Arnav's midriff and smiled teasingly at Aniket. "Bhaiya aapse pyaar hi nhi karte, Bhaiyu."

Aniket glared at him.

Aryan pushed himself deeper in Arnav's embrace to rile him up. "Aise mat ghuro aap. Bhaiya aapko mujhe chhune bhi nhi denge."

"Abee teri toh—" Aniket raised his hand to whack him but Arnav put a protective arm around him.

Aryan gave Aniket a teasing grin. "Maine kaha tha na, Bhaiyu, ek hi galti baar baar nhi dohrate."

Aniket threw a accusatory glance at Arnav.

Aryan laughed his heart out seeing Aniket's face. His Bhaiyu looked so cute with those annoyed expressions.

Arnav just shook his head. He wondered who the child was in their home. "Kyu chid rha hai, Ani? Woh toh bacha hai tu toh bada hai na?"

Aniket scoffed. His Bhaiya would always side with their little highness.

Aryan pulled away from Arnav and hugged Aniket. "Gussa kyu ho rhe ho, Bhaiyu? Mai toh mazaak kar rha tha."

Arnav and Aniket gave each other meaningful smiles. Their boy could never hold back from anyone. He only knew how to love. That was the reason he was getting so affected with everything.

Aniket ruffled his hair. "Tujhse koi gussa ho sakta hai kya?"

Aryan pulled back a little in defense before replying. "Wahi toh, Bhaiyu. Isliye toh Bhaiya ko sirf aap pe hi gussa aata hai."

"Tu phir bola!" Aniket tried to reach out to him but Aryan latched himself to Arnav once again.

"Bas Karo dono." Arnav shook his head. He had let them bicker for long enough.

Aryan turned to Arnav. "Bhaiya, aap bata do Bhaiyu ko ki aap mujhse jyada pyaar karte ho."

"Chal be, tujhe toh Bhaiya ka second hand pyaar mila hai. Bhaiya ki exclusive attention aur pampering toh sirf mujhe hi mili hai." Aniket rolled on bed and put his head on Arnav's lap. Arnav ruffled his hair.
