As usual, I woke at 5AM, got out of bed,
then got dressed in my usual workout
clothes. Shorts and a t-shirt. Then, I went for a thirty minute run. About five to six
miles for me.
After the run I stretched and practiced
some martial arts forms. By the time I'd
finished, I was dripping sweat, and feeling
good.
After jumping in the shower, I decided to cook some breakfast for my girls. It was a
little after seven when I'd finished
everything. And, it was now time to wake them.
My condo was wired with speakers, so I
grabbed my IPAD connected to that system, and turned on my favorite wake up song.
"Heyyyy, get up! Get loud! We're pumping up the party, now!" Blared through the whole condo, vibrating it.
Once I saw my girls roused from their
sleep, I yelled out.
"Go wash your faces, your hands, then
your faces, again. Breakfast is ready!"
    They got up and obeyed.
After we ate, my daughters and I got
ready to go spend time with my mom, and
sister. We spent the whole morning with
them. Afterwards, I dropped my children off at school.

Arriving at my daughter's school, I got
out, and gave them hugs, and kisses.
"I'll miss you, dad!" They yelled in unity as they ran off towards the school.
I watched them all the way until they
entered the school. Esther stopped at the
door, turned around, and waved goodbye.
Once I waved back, she then went into the
school with a big smile on her face.
I didn't get back into the car.
Instead, I went into the school myself.
Straight to the office. The office lady was looking down intently at the computer monitor when I walked in.
"Look any harder, and your eyes might pop out."
"Oh..." She said a little startled. Then,
recognition flashed in her eyes. "Hey, you're Marian, and Esther's dad. How may I help
you?"
The lady appeared barely in her
twenties, attractive, and had eyes like
summer grass with dirty blonde hair tied into a tight bun.
No recognition flashed across my eyes.
"Yes, I am. My name's Mark Judah, and you are?"
Giving me her full attention with an
enchanting smile. She replied.
"I'm Miss Wesley. But, you can call me
Jessica."
    Now, I was smiling.
"Nice to meet you, Jessica. I'm actually here about a boy named martin. I don't know his last name."
Recognition flashed across her eyes, again.
"Oh, yes. The French boy Marian helps."
"Yeah... I'm sure that's the one. I need to get a hold of his parents."
With confusion, she asked. "Is everything okay? He didn't..."
Cutting her off, I said. "No, he's fine. He's done no wrong. I just need to talk to his
parents about my daughter helping him with his English."
"Well, I'm not allowed to just hand out
parent's numbers... "
I figured this was where the conversation would lead. I was about to respond when.
"But... I'll call, and ask for permission. Give me a sec."

Ten minutes later, I left with exactly what I came for.
