in the meantime, ja'niyah facetimed her boyfriend, reece who was currently in brighton for a football game. the call connected and her eyes immediately lit up, "hi baby!"
"hey, niyah," he sounded tired and she could see he was laying on a physio table. "my leg's fucked... again."
"i'm sorry, how did it happen?"
"took a knock in training. i have lauren patching me up though." reece panned the camera to the chelsea physio, lauren. she was massaging reece's calf, too busy to bother looking up. "laur look, it's ja'niyah."
"hi."
ja'niyah waved happily, oblivious to lauren's jealousy. "reece, you need to come off the phone — you know she can't see things like this if she's not involved with the club" reece nodded at the girl and quickly said goodbye to his girlfriend, ending the call.
"okay then..." ja'niyah mumbled to herself and threw her phone to the side. she turned on netflix, curling up with her kitten bambi so she could resume the current series she was watching.
she was never one to be insecure or worried about her boyfriend's work relationships, but it seemed like lauren had it out for her. whenever ja'niyah came around her mood instantly soured — and she would try to pull reece away from her.
