I'm a long time writer but first time poster on Wattpad. I have no idea what this story was born out of, but I've become obsessed with werewolf fiction and decided to take a crack at it myself. This story was originally written for NaNoWriMo this year, and while it wasn't quite finished in time, much more has been written since November. The story itself is not completely written, but I have multiple chapters completed and the rest is outlined to the end.
There are a few things that I need to provide for context that I didn't want to take up too much space among the chapters. I'll add some items here and there as times goes on.
Firstly, in my werewolf world, the story is centered in the Crystal Kingdom, an ancient werewolf kingdom with a consistent royal line that dates back for centuries. (one day I might write a prequel...). The main character, Arianna, is niece to the king. I do have a family tree of sorts that I will share out later.
The kingdom is broken up into large packs, with smaller ones organized within the larger ones. For right now, the main packs are:
Diamond (the main royal pack), and 4 more packs designated by a gemstone: ruby, emerald, amethyst, and sapphire. The Lotus pack, of which our main character belongs, is also a royal pack. It is a warrior pack, tasked with the protection of the kingdom as a whole. The alpha of the Lotus pack is born from the royal line, and usually is the second son of the king, unless the Lotus alpha has a son, who becomes heir. In my story, the Lotus alpha, Jaxson, has a son, so he is the heir. Just go with me here...lol
Each main pack has what is called a verum lunae, or true luna. This is a special luna who more than your average luna. She is goddess chosen. Not every pack has their verum lunae at the same time. Some have waited years for their next one. It is unknown who the goddess has chosen, and it is only revealed once that shewolf has met her alpha mate. There are signs, however <wink>
