For me poetry means being able to express my feelings in a world that otherwise won't give me a listening ear; it helps me explore and figure out why I feel what I feel and it helps me to give it a place in my life instead of bottling it all up
Poetry also has helped me connect with others and in a way it helped me realize that I don't have to fight my demons alone; poetry has been the portal through which I have met a lot of people I look up to, a lot of friends and even the love of my life Poetry has changed my life for the better and has helped me to start living instead of merely surviving
So to me poetry equals friendship, love and living Life the fullest
