Chapter 1

"Isabella Zara Valencia," mia shouted.

I gave her a stern look, but she responded with a smile and a wave. It irked me whenever someone addressed me by my full name. The other students glanced at her, then at me. Napailing na lang ako.

She was accompanied by Olivia and Marco, who are my friends. Marco and Olivia are in a relationship. Witnessing the love between them, though heartwarming, sometimes stirred up bittersweet emotions within me.

I often wonder when I will get to experience that kind of love, romantic love. While I am not in a rush, there are times when I yearn to have a boyfriend who will love and care for me.

I was walking in the hallway near the gate, intending to check if I was assigned to Bonifacio. They had just entered the school.

Approaching me with a warm gesture, Mia gently linked her arm with mine.

"Anong section mo?" Tanong niya. "Mag kaklase etong si olivia at marco, bonifacio sila. Hindi kopa alam kung anong section ko, sabay na lang tayong maghanap. Sana classmate tayo para may kasama ako," she pouted.

"Bakit hindi mo ba kayang mag-isa? At bakit sabay sabay kayo?" I asked her.

"Kaya naman, pero mas madali para sa akin kung may kilala or close ako para hindi na kailangan maghanap ng kaibigan or makakasama. Ang hirap makipag plastikan sa iba," mia laughed. Nakitawa si olivia sa kanya.

" Nakita lang din namin siya sa labas kumakain," si olivia ang sumagot sa pangalawang tanong ko.

I nod. "Paano niyo pala nalaman na bonifacio kayo? Kapapasok niyo lang ah," tanong ko kila olivia and marco.

"Lumabas kasi kami kahapon and dumaan narin dito sa school para tignan," mahinhin na sagot ni olivia.

"Nung nalaman niyong bonifacio umalis agad kayo? Hindi niyo man lang tinignan kung anong section namin? Nakakatampo naman." Kunwaring malungkot sa sabat ni mia.

Pinalo siya ni olivia sa braso. " Ano kaba, pauwi narin kasi kami non. Nagmamadali etong si marco kasi pinapauwi naraw ni tita, marami pa siyang kailangan gawin sa bahay nila." Paliwanag ni olivia.

"Pasensiya na. Nakalimutan kong tignan yung sa inyo kasi nagmamadali ako. Don't worry sasamahan naman namin kayo maghanap ngayon," pampalubag lood na ani ni marco.

We walked towards the other sections of Grade 10. The rooms for Grade 10 are separated - some are near the gate, some are next to the clinic, and others are close to the senior high building.

Bonifacio is near the gate. I was planning to check there first, but they told me that I wasn't assigned there. So, we proceeded to the other section near the senior high.

After checking each one and finding out that we weren't assigned to any of them, we then went to Mabini's section next to the clinic. This was the only one we hadn't checked, so we were sure that Mia and I would be there.

When we arrived there, we still looked at our names even though I knew for sure that we were supposed to be there. I saw my name and Mia's name. Luckily, we are classmates, so I won't be bored on the first day because I have someone to talk to.

"Magkalapit lang pala ang rooms natin eh," ani marco. "Sabay sabay tayo mag lunch mamaya." Dagdag niya.

Tumawa si mia. " Sana may pogi tayong kaklase belle,"

Olivia laughed too. "Ikaw talaga. Sige na, pasok na kayo aalis narin kami baka ma late kami," she smiled. "Goodluck, girls."

Mia and i entered the room. Sa pinakadulo kami umupo dahil dito na lang may bakanteng upuan.
