Past is the present

Chapter twenty four

Leo asked me to do some work to divert my attention and not to think too much,while he talk to Mr.Column. I tried but I can't concentrate,my mind is with them.

I am walking back and fort in front of the bed,thinking.

I know it's about my accident,but how does Mr Column know about it? The accident was six years ago,Leo told me he was introduced to him by my dad five years ago. I was in London already that time.

Dad and mama said it was an accident but base on their expressions a while ago,there's something wrong. It's not just a simple accident,I can feel something else.

Nag uumpisa na namang sumakit ang ulo ko. Nasapo ko ang ulo ko,I can see blurry images. It keeps going on and on like a broken disc inside my head. I'm seeing two cars running next to each other,almost colliding. I'm also hearing a woman's screaming for her life. She's wearing a white dress,crying on the back of the car.

I felt the carpeted floor,I'm already sitting on the floor holding both side of my head. The images still rolling on my head that causes my head throbbing in pain.

"Aahhhhhh.....ayoko na!"

I burst into tears,I can't take it anymore,my head felt like ripping into half.

"Nooo.....stop it! Stop it! No! Leopoldo! Ahhh....."

I'm rolling around the floor,not minding anything around. I started hearing noises,I can't open my eyes. I'm scared to see the clear images of a woman crying for help.

"Sera! Shit baby,what's happening?"

I know I'm hearing Leo's voice but I cant see him. Dumagdag iyon sa takot na nararamdaman ko.

"Stop it! Please.... help me! Stop it..ahhh...ayoko....no...help me...Leo..!"

"I'm here babe,open your eyes please"

Mas ipinikit ko pa ang mga mata ko at umiling iling,I'm scared.

"Ayoko! He's coming after me" I don't know why I'm saying those things. Wala na akong nakikitang mga imahe,kadiliman nalang dahil sa mga mata kong nakapikit pa rin.

"Who is he? Sera! Tell me babe" ipinilig kong muli ang ulo ko.

"I can't see his face"

I felt a familiar scent,the warmth,around me. I was held,gently caressing my face of a touch.

"Baby,open your eyes,it's okay now,I'm here now,come on Sera,open your eyes" masuyo nitong hinaplos ang aking noo,pawisan iyon? Hindi ko alam.

Unti unti kong iminulat ang aking mga mata. Nakakasilaw noong una pero kinalaunan ay nagawa ko ding maibuka ang mga mata ko na hilam sa luha.

"I shouldn't have left you" niyakap ako nito ng mahigpit.

Gumanti din ako ng yakap dito,ligtas ang pakiramdam ko sa kanyang mga bisig.

"Leo,ang mga anak natin?" Bigla kong naitanong dito.

Nakaramdam ako kaagad ng pag aalala para sa mga anak ko. Hindi ko alam kung para saan ba ang mga nararamdaman kong ito ngayon.

"Calm down Sera,we will see them later" nagtatakang tiningala ko ito "they are are coming here baby"

"Im sorry Leo,Raphie" pilit kong hinanap ang boses na iyon ng nagsalita.

I saw a terrible and haggard face of an old man standing in front of the door.

"It's not your fault uncle" uncle?

Pinangko ako ni Leo upang maihiga sa kama namin.

"Do we have to take her in the hospital? A doctor to be sent here,perhaps? Leo!" I shook my head at Leo.
