'Maa, but why? Why should I stay back? I will kill every single one of them. I will tear their entrails and pour that blood to satiate goddess Kali's thirst.' Amara roared.

'No', said Damayanthi softly.

Amara fell silent.

'Don't you remember what I taught you?'

'But maa, they are traitors. Traitors who are supposed to be killed, they have to pay for what they did to us.'

Damayanthi's face became stern.

'Amara, physical vengeance is a waste of time, now is not the time for you to rise up. Do you want to prove your worth? Do so by waiting for the right opportunity. Don't succumb to anger. Succumb only to your mind. Do what it says.'

'Maa, but-'

'Amara, I'll meet you near our trap door today, from there I'll send you to India; but promise me, that you'll follow what I taught you. Remember, "To stabilize dharma, one can take up any path, even if the path demands you to be devious. Remember Chanakya, you can achieve anything if you use your knowledge the way it has to be used." '

'I promise you maa.. I will follow your words.'

With that Damayanthi closed the trunk with amara inside, to save her from the clutches of what is waiting outside- Srilanka's genocidal attack on the innocent Tamils.

'There she is, tell her that her husband was searching for her.' Someone shouted as Damayanthi made her way through the remains of what was left after the bomb blast yesterday.

The army of Srilanka was battling with the Tamil soldiers. Swords, knives, rifles and bows and arrows were drawn, but to the dismay of the Tamils, the srilankans had arranged for bigger artilleries. Clouds of smoke drew from the supposed battle field. The mutilated bodies of men and women from her clan added fuel to the burning fire in Damayanthi's heart, no way was she going to accept defeat, though deep down she knew there was going to be a temporary defeat. But at the cost of their lives, was amara going to avenge each and every second of their defeat.

Damayanthi sped towards the battle ground, as she dived into the battle; she sped towards where Dilipan, her husband was combating 2 soldiers heavily armed. She knew Dilipan needed help. As she neared she heard Dilipan cry out in a momentary victory as he drove his knife into one of the soldier's neck, straight down, plunging his heart; giving him an instant death. Another soldier charged from behind, which took Dilipan by surprise, before he could react, Damayanthi jumped in thrusting her long knife deep into the soldier's abdomen. The blade hacked his lower belly; he collapsed as his intestines spilled on to the ground. Damayanthi kneeled on her knees, next to the soldier who was paralyzed by the intense pain and heavy blood loss. Being a true Tamil soldier, Damayanthi held her knife high, and stabbed his neck vertically, killing him and relieving him from his misery. Meanwhile Dilipan was killing all those traitors smoothly. But both Dilipan and Damayanthi knew that all odds were mounded heavily against them. Most of the Tamils were either dead or were badly injured, women were wailing. The heartless bastards were raping innocent women who waited for this curse to be broken. They were forcing their ugly members into women who were absolutely naïve. The fire kept building inside Damayanthi. Their only hope was India coming to their aid; which would never happen, even in their dreams. A soldier pulled Damayanthi's shirt, popping all the buttons in one swift motion; but she swung back with a vicious force, pushing him down. Angry that he was pushed by a woman, the chauvinistic bastard swung over from the left, hoping to push her down. Little did he know that Damayanthi was more skilled than anybody could imagine, she shielded her head with her left hand and using her right, hit him hard; right in his epicenter. Before she could realize her mistake, a soldier thrust his knife deep inside Damayanthi's shoulder; 'Damayanthi run!!! Dilipan shouted...
