First off, I wanna make one thing clear...
...
...
...
...
I prefer dubbed anime
<insert shocked gasps here>
Yes, I prefer getting to actually watch the SHOW as opposed watching the DIALOGUE.
And with only one eye that can see more than 2 inches, I can't divert my attention. So, having said that, if there is no dub available, I can make myself watch subbed versions instead.

In the case of this particular review, I first came across the wondrous world of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha almost a year and a half ago, and bloody loved its portrayal of magic, as a subject that had been researched and elevated from an art, to a science. Even using equations and computer programs to control the various aspects of magic. (I'm getting off topic...) anyways, i watched the first two seasons of Lyrical Nanoha, and was distraught to learn the company that was licensed to dub the show, Geneon Entertainment, went under shortly after they finished the second season, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's. And there's like four more seasons after A's...(StrikerS, ViVid, Force, and Innocent)
That being said, I had heard there were some interesting differences between the show, and the two movies (which retell the first two seasons) and resolved to watch the movie that had the most interesting fights (based on my knowledge of the anime).
And boy, did Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha: The Movie 2nd deliver! My ARCEUS, the fights, already epic enough to send a chill down my spine in the original 2005 version, was bloody near ORGASMIC! (Yes, I used a creepy word, deal with it! 😎) they reworked the story a tad, not a lot, but it changed some minor elements that weren't too necessary. They redesigned most of the Intelligent Devices,
Raising Heart has a trigger (my initial reaction to this was "WTF?!?"),

Movie version Bardiche, (this is the version from the first movie, only difference between the two is that in the second movie, that black cylinder below the axe head is thicker, and comceals a revolver-style cylinder, note the rounded edges)

Graf Eisen looks less like a croquet mallet, and more like a proper sledgehammer, RaketenForm looks like a proper rocket engine strapped to a hammer, Giganteform looks more...gigantic? (Which considering it was already skyscraper sized, is kinda redundant)

Levaetine/Levantine/Leviathan no longer is a twin-edged sword, but now a single edged straight sword, both Bogenform and Schlangenform look fancier,(No pics, the differences aren't major)

Schwertkreuz/The Tome of the Night Sky/Reinforce looks basically the same, though the head of the staff is a bit larger, and pointier

Durandel looks pretty much the same, xD which considering you only ever see this particular Device in A's is fine

Other than that, the FEELZ! Are so much more intense in the movie, than they were in the tv show, won't say too much on that, coz of spoilers.

In conclusion, I actually ENJOYED this movie, and am using a screenshot as the media for this chapter, go out and watch the originals, then the movies, if you're into the Magical Girl genre, links below!
(Don't worry The_E364 , I'll

get to your review eventually...I've got a list of anime to watch first)
