Kora

The fire burns bright
Swallowing everything near,
With its crimson light.

Kora stares,
Her childhood home devoured,
The emotion she feels flairs.

Not a fragment of my home is spared.
She sullenly thinks,
As she herself is spared.

She's gone.
Kora's tears fall,
It's almost dawn.

Those creatures took her.
It's dawn now, and Kora wipes her tears.
Her tears and vile words bitter.

Kora has a single thought,
Her pain as clear as day,
Those around her spot.

I will avenge her!
Kora declares,
The fire fueling the bitterness upon her.
