you're standing in your room with your boyfriend, paul, finding it almost hard to look at him.
"paul, they tell me you don't really love me. you don't care for me. i'm only a fling. i don't even think my parents like you. should we just break it off?"
he smiles, and puts his hand on your shoulder, and rubs it comfortingly.
"y/n, don't believe what the others say about us. they don't define our love, we do. and besides, if all those things were true, would i do this?"
suddenly he gets down on one knee, holding out a beautiful diamond ring, and reaches out his hand to hold yours.
"y/n/l/n, i love you with all my heart. i don't care what the other people say, i want to be with you forever. will you marry me?"
stunned, all you can do is nod your head yes rapidly. he slips the ring onto your finger, and stands up, kissing you tenderly.
"i love you forever. don't ever doubt it."
