There was once a city.
Vibrant green land and blue sky
Loaded with twinkling stars at night
Under which she'd sleep
Only to wake up to the sun's glare
Hitting her face fair and square.

Now the city's changed.
Gone are the green lands and blue skies
Instead there are huge structures
Eating up the green like water spilled on a table
She can barely breathe without smelling smoke
Nor can she sleep among the pastures

Gone is the green city.
Praised for its species of flora and fauna
Known for its freshness.
But its now welcomed for the scientific growth
With no concern about the nature
And no thought about the consequence.
