Step by step he watched in slow motion his lovely Buttercup walk down the aisle in her exquisite wedding dress towards him. This has been the day he has been dreaming about, hoping for to come since forever and now it was here.
It felt amazing for her to stay yes to being his wife for the rest of their lives together.
Her backless wedding dress showed of her beautiful body. Her blonde hair was pulled back with a golden headpiece he had made specially for her by the best jeweler in the world. She was absolutely glowing in this moment.
She was also flushed bright red from the hoots and hollers they were getting from his crewmen. He couldn't help but, chuckle at that.
Ever since she arrived on the ship they have absolutely adored her. She cooked the best meals for them that were made with love and cleaned after their disgusting messes even though he told her she didn't have to, as if they were her own children. She was such a motherly figure towards them and they couldn't ask for anything more.
Especially to young Calvin of whom she asked to walk her down the aisle on this joyous occasion. She had bonded with him the most while being on the ship. They were best friends to the end and Orbis didn't even feel threatened by him. He knew Calvin cared deeply for his little lovely but, more as a brotherly figure and he deeply admired that.
He felt a slap on his shoulder from his first mate and best friend Henry. He'd been with him through thick and thin and now Henry was marrying him to the love of his life. He couldn't ask for anything more perfect.
In what felt like forever she finally reached the end where he stood waiting for her to arrive. SHe had a wide happy smile etched out on her lips. Not only had this been his dream but, hers too.
"We gather here today to marry these to parties in holy matrimony", Henry started the ceremony off by saying.
"Orbis you may read the vows you have written for Buttercup", Orbis eagerly pulled out the vows he had stayed up for nights writing.
"Love of my life, Buttercup I am so excited to marry you, to become one through this ceremony and be legally considered husband and wife. You are my first love. You have taught me so many things about myself I am unable to describe to you but, I am sure you have seen it. You have seen the change within me, in my heart and you have my supported my journey along the way and I can't thank you more. This love have for you that I have found within myself for you and I hope you take it.
"When I look into your eyes all I see is genuine love for me and I could not adore it more. I adore every single part of you from your gorgeous doe like eyes to the sunny blonde hair that sits atop your hair to your luscious lips that I could kiss for what feels like forever. Everything about you is beautiful from the inside out.
"Your heart is so gentle and caring. You took in every one of my crew members and cared for them as if they were your own family and you never had to but, you did anyways from the kindness of your heart. You could have never seen the goodness or the love within me and could have never pulled it out but, you did. You are truly too good for me or anyone in this world.
"I can see are future together and it looks amazing but, the best part of it is that I get to experience with you", he finished his speech with watery eyes and a shaky voice.
He had poured his heart and soul out to her and he hoped it'd be good enough for her.
Looking at her he saw tears fall down her cheeks. Did he make her sad? Oh no! Did he disappoint her? He felt like a total idiot now.
The I love you she mouthed to him gave him lots of reassurance.
"Buttercup, you may read your vows now"
Buttercup felt so nervous. She had spent days writing everything she felt about him on to a piece of paper. It had been really hard and she had went through drafts and drafts until she land on what felt like the perfect one.
"My robin hood, what can I say to you? You are perfect in every way in my eyes. Your heart is full of love it's almost bursting. You are the best, most perfect love of my life.
"You were there for me when I felt hopeless from losing my mother. You were there when I felt sick on my lowest days, you were there and understanding and patient with me when I made huge accusations about you that were beyond forgivable. Everything you have done you did for me and I couldn't ask for anything more in my life.
"You are like my robin hood. You may be a pirate but, you are indeed a good one. You help the poor by stealing from the corrupt and greedy rich. You are my personal hero. I know that you will be a perfect role model for our son or daughter. I am just dying to have them meet you in a couple months time and I hope you are too because you'd make a wonderful father", She finished her vows by saying her surprise for him.
She kept it short and sweet so, he could figure out he was going to be a father.
He had tears in his eyes and all he could do in that moment is lift her up and spin her around while chuckling. She couldn't help but, let out a cheerful giggle too.
"Thank you", was the only thing he could say in that moment.
"Hey put her down you are not man and wife yet", Henry teased.
Putting her down they both stared at him expectly, waiting for him to say the words.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride", Henry finally said, smiling for his best friend.
Orbis took her face in his hands and gave her a long passionate kiss as if they had never kissed before. Sweeping her off her feet bridal style they ran out of the room.
"I love you, you have my heart", She said cheerfully.
