With the help of my dad, Alex and I spend our three month anniversary carrying furniture into Alex's new apartment.

I don't mind as it's not like we were going to do anything to celebrate—we both think celebrating insignificant anniversaries are stupid, and would like to save all of that for when we've been together for a year, or do something small when we hit six months as a couple. Because of this, Alex doesn't mind either. What he does mind, however, is that he's not supposed to be spending this evening lugging furniture up flights of stairs.

"No, I asked you to deliver all this crap to me next Tuesday, not today! Next Tuesday as in the Tuesday coming up, not this Tuesday!" Alex angrily says into the phone to the company he bought the furniture from. "Next week!" He pulls the phone away from his ear. "Damn, they hung up on me."

I raise an eyebrow as he lets out a sigh. He gives me his phone for safe keepings and grabs one end of the couch while my dad lifts the other end. Due to how weak I am, it's decided that I will not be helping with the heavy stuff and would simply be carrying in the boxes that we stored in our spare room while Alex has been staying with us.

When purchasing the furniture, Alex made the decision to buy most of it, meaning beds, couches, dining room table, smaller table for the kitchen, chairs, cabinets, closets, etc, from the same place. This place was supposed to deliver the stuff next Tuesday, which I do recall Alex asking them to do, but for some reason they chose to deliver it all today. And in the evening as well? What kind of stupidity is this?

It takes a couple of hours for my dad and boyfriend to carry the couches and other bits and pieces needed to put together the furniture from the van that brought them here and up the stairs to Alex's apartment. Much to their jealousy as the things that they are carrying are too big and I'm simply carrying boxes, I am able to use the lift.

Soon enough, everything is in the apartment and my dad goes back home after Alex assures him that he's done enough to help, and thanks him for doing so.

Alex and I don't go home as we still need to sort out the boxes and take them into their respective rooms. We choose to do this now instead of later so that the process of Alex moving into the place speeds up a bit. As much as I don't want him to leave my home, I know that he has to, and he can't stay at mine forever.

On Monday coming up, with the help of my sisters (Sofia only being there to look after Chloe), we will be painting the rooms, so the putting together of the beds, cabinets, closets, etc, will be done when the painting is completed.
