Happy 2023!

I'm not exactly on time for the new year, but that's just life, right? 2022 was one of my busiest years in terms of life events. Who knew a wedding would take up SO much time? During the planning and the subsequent transition into married life, my writing took a backseat as did my profile on Wattpad. And sadly, another year passed without finishing a book.

Does that deter me though? Of course not!

Going into 2023, I hope to revamp my profile and stick to a schedule of writing that allows me to produce the best work I can without feeling overly pressured. You may notice that I recently took down my previous drafts of old works. While I love every idea that I've created and plan to finish each and every one of them, I find that I struggle to return to old works when I've left them dormant for awhile. So, while they might be on pause in my mental filing cabinet, they surely will not be forgotten!

With ONC 2023 right around the corner, I hope to find the inspiration I need to jumpstart a new idea. After reviewing the prompts, I'm definitely feeling optimistic! :)

Good luck to anyone participating and to anyone continuing their writing journey. You've got this!

          	Take care <3
          	~MB

@BorzickBooks Hi! Congratulations on your wedding last year! Hope it was a blast. Good Luck with the ONC. Unfortunately, I won't be able to participate in the ONC ... I have personal matters on my mind and have a sci-fi novel that I want to finish before the Wattys begin in the summer.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story! I think one of my biggest problems is I reread my work about 3 million times, so I know every tiny story egg and how they lead to the next one. I read it so many times, I forget that I’m not placing the story eggs in there for myself hahha. Readers don’t know what to look for in my plot details the way I do.

But anyway, thank you immensely for the positive and constructive feedback! You pointed out things that I hadn’t thought of before, but you also told me where I was doing something that seemed alright haha which I haven’t seen much of. Tbh, I was getting a little disheartened by responses to my book so far, since I put so much time, effort, and love into it. I knew TDH had flaws, but I wanted to know what I was doing right, too, y’a know? Your kind of feedback was just what I needed. You’re an amazing reviewer .

I’ll give the PIPBK review shop a mention, too. Again, thanks for doing this review even though you’re not listed as one of the club’s reviewers anymore .

@MadsMHaley I’m so sorry! I forgot how many chapters it was and thought since you did the three, then that was probably it! I had taken a snapshot of the process but it must have been deleted, so that’s my bad. Thank you still, and take your time!

Hey! I’ll be reading through the first five chapters & then DM’ing you an overall review (so I’m not done just yet!) I’m taking a break from September through the end of the year since I’m getting married & it’s very stressful lol

Hello!

          Lessons from a Christmas Tree:
Be a light in the darkness.
          We all fall over sometimes.
You can never wear too much glitter.
          Bring joy to others.
Sparkle and twinkle as often as possible.
It's okay to be a little tilted.
          ~ Jane Lee Logan

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! And best wishes for 2022!

          Your PIP club friend.

Hey everyone! So sorry for the lack of updates for Agent Activated. I was working on a side project last week & then went home during the weekend to visit some family. Low and behold, my nephew that I was around & sister both were positive for COVID & I too tested positive today.

I’ve been feeling pretty sluggish but otherwise okay. Mentally, I haven’t been able to sit down and write; though, I hope to this weekend!

          Thank you & happy writing!
          ~Mads

@guywortheyauthor Thank you! So far, yesterday was the worst of it & I’m starting to feel better now, so fingers crossed it remains mild!
