In the depths of my shattered heart, I recall that fateful moment when Rohan, my husband of a mere two months, uttered words that plunged me into an abyss of despair.
          
          'Tia,' he began, his voice devoid of any warmth, 'I must tell you something that will break your heart. I don't want to marry you. My mother forced me into this union.'
          
          As those cruel words pierced my ears, my world crumbled around me. The dreams I had built, the hopes I had cherished, all shattered into a million pieces. The man I had given my heart to had just declared that his affection was a lie.
          
          Tears streamed down my face, blurring my vision. I couldn't breathe, couldn't think. The pain was unbearable, a throbbing ache that consumed my entire being.
          
          'But...,' I stammered, desperate to cling to any shred of hope, 'I thought you loved me.'
          
          Rohan's eyes met mine, but they held nothing but indifference. 'I never intended to deceive you, Tia. I was coerced into this marriage, and I apologize for the hurt it has caused you.'
          
          His words hung in the air like a death sentence. I had been nothing more than a pawn in his mother's game, a means to an end. The love I had felt, the moments we had shared, were all an illusion.
