Okay readers, something hinky happened over here and ALL my published chapters got unpublished. I apologize for the issue, but can't explain it. @SEViolet I'm not getting a comment box on your story. The inline comment has gone, but I suspect that's because you made a correction. So, you get it here. A very strong, emotional chapter for both characters. His flashback was cleverly integrated into the scene, giving us a peek at part of his 'why'.

@SEViolet Sara, you blitzed through that book in a hurry, and I want to say thank you so much for sticking with it. It was a genre I thought I wanted to get into, but I have found it a lot more difficult than a western - for me. Thanks again, very much

@lyttlejoe No, it's weird. I was trying to make the edits you suggested but I was on my tablet and wattpad wouldn't let me do it. So I go in and realize that the chapters didn't show as published on my tablet, even though they were, (originally published on my laptop) so I had to publish them again before I could make changes. So annoying.
@SEViolet I'm embarrassed. I feel like I pressured you here. Where do I send the cheque?
