Writing update: Beyond Destiny
          
          TL;DR—I’m doing major edits to my Kylo x OC series and consolidating it into one story: Kindred Spirit!
          
          Wow. 2024 has started out as a crazy writing year for me. I finished my Hetalia story that I started in 2022 and turned my focus back to Beyond Destiny. I’ve always meant to finish the third and final story in my Lucia/Kylo trilogy but something about Ben’s character in BD never felt right. As I picked up writing again, this became a huge problem. I realized that I was trying to write him as a completely different character from Kylo when they’ve been the SAME person all along. Ofc when I wrote the first story Never the Same back in 2016/2017, I didn’t realize he would be turning back to the Light…
          
          So I started editing back, adding in Ben Solo moments into the second story Home in the Stars. This worked—I got way more comfortable with Ben as a character and my Kylo had way more depth. But I couldn’t stop…I kept editing back and editing back until I was at the very first chapter of NTS. Some scenes were only slightly tweaked and some chapters were completely rewritten. Lucia’s and Vegas’ backstories and the overall war in the Galaxy got huge revamps as well.
          
          As of now, I’m at the end of NTS and getting into HITS. I’ve also chosen to consolidate the trilogy into one big story and rename it  “Kindred Spirit.” It’s definitely still the same story, but it has more mature, darker themes and leaner storytelling. Like I put in the A/N at the beginning, this is no doubt due to the fact that between 2016 and 2024, I a) met and married the man of my dreams, b) started a challenging career, and c) discovered some surprising kinks.
          
          Thank you for taking the time to read this. Star Wars is a pretty dead fandom now, but I so appreciate all the comments and votes my readers have left over the years. It also helps that I’m more obsessed with these characters than ever lol
