literally nobody asked but i’m going to say it anyway, the cruel prince didn’t need more romance, it was (is) a subplot- don’t get me wrong i love cardan and jude (my favourites) and i literally always wanted more of them, but the book wouldn’t have worked as well if it was romance focussed
