@DennisLienhardt Thank you for the feedback. There is certainly more to come about Alia/Leo and why she left Mandal - the roots of that internal struggle between staying and going.
            
            Part of me wonders how long Lena can withstand the pull of her mother's desire to leave and wanting to make her happy and if Alia will find the strength to take that pressure off of her daughter.
            
            As far as the Otherworld- there is certainly a lot more to come - are the incursions random or coordinated and explaining more about what the Otherworld actually is.
            
            Looking forward to your feedback and thoughts as the story continues!

I thought the first three chapters raised a lot of storylines that I want to learn more about: Alia's previous relationship with Leo and why she left, what is happening with the otherworld, what Lena's powers are, etc. I also enjoyed the internal struggle Alia has between leaving because she knows it's a terrible place, and staying because it's the best place for her daughter.
