Hello hello *waves enthusiastically but also awkwardly* I'm Katie, and I spend most of my time reading. But when I'm not reading I do try to write some books.

So reading- I do it a lot. I can't stress that enough. Reading is what made me want to be a writer. My biggest inspirations are... Sarah J Maas(I finished Heir of Fire the day it came out and said, "I want to write a book that makes at least one person feel the way this book made me feel."), Brandon Sanderson, Susan Dennard, Robert Jordan, Neal Shusterman, and Gail Carson Levine.

I also take inspiration from movies and movie scores. There are WAY to many to name, but Dragonheart is number one and I hiiighly recommend.

I do love me some video games. Any and all Legend of Zelda, and I probably talk about Skyrim on a daily basis *not-so-patiently waits for Elder Scrolls VI to be announced*.

EVER SO LIGHTLY is my first finished project. This book took three years to write, and in that time I learned so frakkin' much. I'm currently planning to start the sequel early 2018, with two more books to follow. I also have a bit of an overall universe planned with two other series *sobs in a corner because I can't stop myself from planning these things*. AND I'm really really reeeally hoping to start my fantasy Moulin Rouge retelling this year too *pssst...it has a dragon*.
