REAL LIFE !
"did i do the right thing?" jungkook asked, tears rolling down his cheeks, as he tried to control his rapid breathing. he was entering a panic attack - there was no doubt, and truth be told he had never been good at managing them. luckily namjoon was - the older just nodded before pulling jungkook into his chest, pressing jungkook's head flush against his chest, letting his hand rest on the back of the younger's head. namjoon didn't know if jungkook was aware - but whenever he got too riled up, the best way to calm him down was to just sit there and let him listen to the other's heartbeat, something namjoon had realized quite a long time ago.
a sigh left rm's lips as he heard jungkook's phone go off. again. and again. he knew it was probably one of their friends - most likely taehyung. but he also knew that jungkook needed some time away. he needed some time to calm down and process it all.
so he turned the phone off, before moving around so jungkook could be a little more comfortable. and as he let his hand run through jk's hair, he muffled out a soft lullaby. jungkook sighing in content - his breathing starting to slow down, eyelids getting heavy. and soon he was fast asleep, a small smile playing on his lips.
namjoon smiled as he stopped singing, and looked down on the boy in his arms, deciding that it was probably best to text the groupchat.

rm please try and see it from his pov - life hasn't been easy on him. and he's used to everyone leaving, he acts like he doesn't feel anything when in reality he feels it all so much more than anyone else. he achieved his dream - he for once was loved. and then everyone turned on him, for something he hadn't even done. can you imagine how much that hurts? how many scars it left him with? he didn't have anyone other than me to fall back on.
rm he did this for you v. so that he could be good enough for you - whether he realizes it himself or not - this was all for you. ofc it's for himself and his mental health, but you kickstarted it the fear of never being good enough for you kickstarted it all. so please, when time comes, hear him out. don't shut him out.
rm he'll most likely shut you out though - all of you, perhaps even me as well. for some time, but when he comes back. please listen to him, that's all i ask of you.
