Watching Taehyung do some warm-up stretches on his mat through the glass door of the dance studio was:

a) most unusual because Jungkook took pride in showing up early for each and every class

b) a beautiful sight to behold

c) kinda creepy because what was Jungkook waiting for to make his presence known?

d) all of the above at this point, and by the way, now would be a great time for Jungkook to snap out of it and just walk in already! Surely he must have realized the happy baby pose was not going to teach itself!

But the yoga instructor was obviously under some kind of spell for he could not stop gazing at Taehyung's bent-over form as he reached for his toes. His toes!

Something swelled within Jungkook's chest. Was it his heart? Or his pride? He couldn't tell. But considering the numerous changes Taehyung's body had successfully sustained, Jungkook knew without the shadow of a doubt that his pupil was ready.

"Taehyung, I'm so sorry for being late," he said as he finally walked in.

His student simply smiled. "You're not late, Jungkook. I was early."

The teacher hurriedly pulled his mat out, sat on the floor and closed his eyes for several breathing exercises, trying to cast aside some residual queasiness. So far so good thought Jungkook who believed he'd managed to tame his discomfort with strong black coffee.

"Jungkook?" Taehyung had a look of concern on his face as he took in the other's paleness.

"Yes?"

"You don't seem well."

The solicitude warmed Jungkook's heart. "I'm fine, don't worry. Just a little woozy that's all."

That, most evidently, wasn't all, but who was Taehyung to pry? The lesson began and they both went through the motions in sync, working up to a steady flow that had them sweating before long. Taehyung's movements had been getting smoother over time, and he was now able to follow Jungkook's lead without hardly any hesitancy. He could ease into a strongly grounded warrior two and hold the pose with no trouble.

Jungkook made sure Taehyung was sufficiently warmed up before attempting this new pose, asking him to lay on his back.

"Savasana? Already?" Taehyung was a little surprised since they were only halfway into the practice.

"Not quite." Jungkook waited for Taehyung to get settled before giving more specific instructions. "Now fold both legs, keeping your soles on the mat and hip distance apart."

Taehyung had no clue where this was going because Jungkook had decided to stand next to him, making it impossible for him to visualize anything.

"Now place your hands next to your ears, fingers directed toward your feet, elbows pointing to the ceiling."

The novelty of it all was quite intriguing and Taehyung stayed extra focused in order to avoid disappointing his teacher, however benevolent the latter was.

"Now keep in mind you will need strength in both your arms and legs for this pose which is called the wheel or back bridge. I'll be right here to catch you so don't be nervous."

Taehyung could only open his eyes wide. What the hell was a back bridge? He was so confused he almost didn't hear Jungkook say, "now lift your body from the floor, straightening your limbs".

Taehyung was struggling to understand what exactly he was supposed to do when he felt a pair of hands gently placing themselves on his hips, pulling him up in one go. Finding himself with his back arched and his face upside down, looking at the opposite wall, he let out a squeak of surprise at the sense of weightlessness that seized him. The hands promptly vanished from his sides, and he was left to balance himself in this rather challenging pose. Jungkook was out of sight and Taehyung couldn't help but feel a little insecure. Was he doing this right?

"Well done!" Jungkook was quick to reassure him, taking in the view of Taehyung's graceful form. "Relax your neck and if you're confident you can manage, lift your heels off th-"

Jungkook never finished that sentence. A sudden rise of bile in his throat had him rush to the nearest bathroom where he emptied the content of his stomach in the closest stall.

Without Jungkook to guide him out of the pose, Taehyung let himself fall on the mat, hissing as his tailbone hit the floor hard. Disregarding the pain, he hurried to Jungkook's side. Kneeling and placing a hand on the other's back, he gently rubbed it up and down as Jungkook kept heaving.

Pondering what he was supposed to do in such circumstances, Taehyung decided to check for a fever. Reaching for Jungkook's sweaty forehead, he felt relief at the touch of cold skin. Perhaps a bit of water on his face would help. Taehyung moved to stand but stalled as soon as Jungkook let out the softest yet most heartbreaking sob ever. "Hey. I'm just going to grab a wet towel for you," Taehyung said with as much comfort as he could convey.

Jungkook's head shook from side to side.

"You want me to stay here?"

A nod of the head.

"Okay."

There wasn't anything left for Jungkook to throw up but he simply couldn't turn around to face Taehyung, too embarrassed by this shameful display of unprofessionalism. Taehyung must have guessed the other's predicament. Without a word, he back-hugged him, pulling him gently out of the cubicle until Jungkook was effectively sitting between his legs, leaning against his torso.

Hiding his face, Jungkook shifted a little in order to press his ear against Taehyung's chest, finding solace in the strong heartbeat that resonated within the warm embrace. His trembling fingers came to rest on Taehyung's waist, squeezing the fabric of the man's shirt as if to check this was real and not some kind of foolish daydream.

"Do you feel better?"

Damn that sexy voice.

Jungkook couldn't possibly answer, still utterly mortified. A nod would have to do. Taehyung, unsure as to what to do with his hands, decided to brush the other's back, hoping to give what he guessed was much needed consolation. How long did they remain seated on the bathroom floor? Nobody knows. Jungkook doesn't even recall falling asleep in Taehyung's arms. But as his eyes fluttered open, he began to think it might have all been a dream.

Hoseok, who'd been warming up in front of the studio's mirrored walls, turned toward the couch where his friend was resting. "Welcome back, sleeping beauty."

"Taehyung?"

"He left a while ago."

Perhaps it would have been better for Jungkook to not wake up at all for the fleeting look of guilt he noticed on his hyung's face could not have been anything but foreboding.
