A few months later the weather has cooled down, the summer heat turning into fall breezes as the project i've been working hard to complete finally finishes. Charles finishes the F1 season with results he wished were better but he goes on to invite me to come to Monaco while he has a break and I can take a few weeks off to use my vacation time. The sudden invite means spending a few hours the day before leaving to pack my things while notifying family and friends of the impromptu vacation. The excitement to spend an extended period of time alone with Charles makes it hard to sleep even though I know i'll need the rest before travelling.

I walk into Charles' apartment the next afternoon with a huge smile on my face. When I've put down my duffle bag the Ferrari driver pulls me in for a long kiss his hands on my hips as I relax into him. "Trois semaine avec toi est-un rêve" he murmurs when pulling away from me, "mmm so true" I hum and press another quick kiss to his lips leaving him smiling. He quickly takes my hands bringing me further into the cozy apartment. I smile, "I don't think I've been to your place yet" I say while taking in the space, "it's not much, but it'll be your home for the next three weeks mon amour" he replies making my heart flutter at the idea of living with him even if only for a few weeks.
I quickly feel at home with Charles when we make some food together. Laughing and running around the small kitchen when it starts to get messy with ingredients flying everywhere. Once we get a hold of ourselves we finish cooking and sit on the couch to eat what we've created. I'm smiling as I take a sip of the wine in my glass, my gaze on the Monégasque next to me. "Qu'est ce qui space dans cette jolie tête?" he asks while meeting my gaze, "je suis tellement chanceuse de t'avoir" I reply happily. He smiles while moving his plate and glass to the coffee table, he opens his arms to me, I move my plate and glass next to his before crawling into his arms. My back rests agains his chest as he winds his arms around me and kisses my head, I sigh before closing my eyes to enjoy the rest i'm finally getting from work.

The next afternoon when we get back from taking a walk I stumble across Charles' gaming room. The door was not completely shut so I peer inside a smile coming to my face when I see the set up. I giggle when I spot the banana suit in the corner of the room thrown over a chair. I tiptoe into the room making a b-line for the bright yellow suit, before I throw it on I grab the headset that is resting over the computer screen. "Della!" I hear Charles yell in the hallway, "ici Char!" I reply and fully get into the banana suit with a grin. "Ah tu l'à trouver" he says making me turn around with an enthusiastic nod, "this is the best thing ever" he chuckles while walking over, "did you put on the headset too?" I nod happily, "I wanted the full effect of this look" he shakes his head making me giggle. "Je t'aime plus qu'avant dans ce costume banane" I smile while adjusting the face opening to fit better, "parfait, ça c'était l'idée" he manages to press a kiss to my lips his fingers lacing with mine.
When Charles pulls away I'm smiling as I quickly sit in the gaming chair, he laughs at my excitement, "teach me how to play F1?" I ask with my best puppy dog eyes on display. He rolls his eyes but is smiling, "bien sure Del" he replies while pulling the spare chair next to me. He proceeds to turn on the computer and I watch as he goes into the latest racing game, giggling when I see myself in the reflection of the monitor. "T'est prête ma chérie?" I look over at Charles with a smile, "oui tellement prête" he gently takes my hands before placing them on the steering wheel in the correct position, he then explains all the controls.
Once I'm in a practice session I panic when I realize I don't know how to accelerate, "Char how to I go?" his eyes widen, "hit the pedal at your feet" he says in a rush, I giggle and press down on the pedal he points to. "I'm totally telling Gas about this" I say making Charles groan as he leans back in his chair with arms over his eyes. I let out a squeal when I spin out on the game, my fingers moving to fix my mistake, "ça c'est difficile" I murmur when I get back onto the track going in the right direction, "tu dois pratiqué et ça va devenir plus facile" the Monégasque says while leaning in to watch my progress on the monitor.
Later that day when we leave the gaming room and I get out of the banana suit I stretch out on the couch in the living room. Just as I'm getting comfy there's a knock on the apartment door making me groan, "c'est Daniel, peut-tu ouvrir la porte Del?" Charles says from somewhere in the apartment. I sigh but get up before walking over to open the door. I'm greeted by a grinning Daniel Ricciardo, "hello hello my number one fan" I roll my eyes while smiling, "I'm never gonna live that down" he shakes his head before pulling me into a quick hug, "don't worry you're my favourite too Della" I laugh as I pull away from the Australian. "Come in and maybe I'll find out why you're here" I say while stepping into the apartment to let him through, "we're going to dinner with some of the guys" Charles replies having heard my statement. I turn to the Ferrari driver with a smile, "i'm gonna let it slide that you didn't say anything about this" I tell him as he comes over to me, "to be fair we planned this before knowing that you were gonna be here" Daniel pipes up. I press a quick kiss to Charles's lips and watch them leave the apartment before going to the couch to resume my position from earlier.
