AUTHOR'S NOTE

for context, i'm writing this in the times of the depressing COVID19 pandemic. so, i think the plague themes and isolation are pretty self-explanatory.

i wrote this story to feel grounded and to describe my depression and grief in clear, vivid detail. i also really miss batangas because i have so many good memories there. that said, this story was also born from my longing to see its skies again, to jump into its beaches again, and to see my extended family :(

please note that the worldbuilding, and any mentions of other countries/a plague are all fictional, and i have merely been inspired by real life. i do not mean to hurt or offend anybody, and i will gladly apologize for anything i might say or portray wrong. please call me out if i write something that upsets you, and i will be more than open for civil discussion :]]

moreover, this is my ORIGINAL WORK, and i do not consent to its REPRODUCTION, EDITING, OR UNAUTHORIZED SELLING.

that's all i have to say, really.

welcome to batangas, philippines, in the fictional year 0040.

buckle up for angst and best friends to lovers, besties!
