"HELLO, mom? Please pick up. I just got off the plane just now. Call me." I said while waiting for my luggage.

It's been five years since I transferred to England and now, I'm home. I miss here in the Philippines, also my family and friends. How are they na kaya?

"Miss Chantelle Carter?" I heard a formal voice behind me. I turned my gaze as I see a tall man with sunglasses on. I think he's one of my father's guards.

"Yes, I am." I formally told. He immediately gave me a letter in a black envelope. What the hell?!

Hindi ko nalang sinagot si Manang at mabilis na lumakad sa hagdan. Nasa second floor kasi yung mga kwarto namin. Well, most of them.

Napansin ko namang hindi nakasarado ang pinto kaya walang ano-ano ay agad na akong pumasok. Even though it's rude.

"Mom! What's wrong? Is something came up? What's going on?" Sunod sunod kong tanong. This isn't Dad's bedroom yet because it's his living room in his room.

"Elle calm down. Everything is going to be fine." Sabi ni Mom na may halong pait sa kanyang pananalita. Sabay naman kaming umupo sa couch.

"So, what happened mom?" I asked. Marami pa rin akong gustong itanong ngunit ayaw ko namang syang biglain. She's a little tense kasi.

"Your father is examining by your tito, Doc. Guzman today. Mahigit tatlong araw na syang may sakit... I-I don't know what to do if something happens to your father Elle. I-I can't." Tumulo naman ang kanyang mga luha. I gave her the warmest hug that I ever gave.
