Stiles' Day Off

~~~~Stiles' POV~~~~
I could hear myself moan at the feeling of Derek's teeth against my throat. I felt the responding growl shoot down, making me even harder in the process. When I felt I felt Derek's teeth and tongue against the sensitive spot on my neck I was thrown over the edge.

Waking up from the intense dream, I found myself shooting upright panting heavily. I groaned and dropped back on to my pillow before I realized I needed to change out of my current boxers and sweats. All the talk of my fast approaching 18th birthday last night had put thoughts in my head of what the experience could be like.

~~~~3rd Person POV~~~~
After showering and changing both his clothes and his sheets Stiles fell back to sleep. When he woke up again he went downstairs to start breakfast for everyone, only to find Derek, his wonderful Alpha mate, standing in the kitchen working on, basically all the fix-ins for Stile's favorite breakfast burritos.

"Anything you need help with Sour Wolf?" Stiles asked, coming around to the older man's right side.

"I think you deserve a day off from cooking for everyone, so no I don't need any help Stiles," Derek gently guided Stiles towards a stool at the counter while he spoke. Stiles says watching Derek cook more tortillas before he broke the comfortable silence.

"Are we having do-it-yourself breakfast burritos?" Stiles had a smile in his voice as he asked the question, he thought he knew the answer already but, he wanted confirmation.

"We are. Don't worry though, I'm gonna make Erica her smoothie and I also plan to do some sautéed vegetables to balance out all the protein," Derek's response cut off Stiles' next question before he'd even voiced it.

"I'll make the coffee, and no you can't stop me, if you try I'll just go to my dad's for the day," Stiles' threat was finished by him sticking out his tongue at Derek and his pouting eyebrows. Derek knew Stiles well enough to know that threat was an honest one without listening to his heartbeat. He remembered when he thought he could get Stiles to stop calling him Sour Wolf, or one of the several other nicknames he'd accrued from his mate, needless to say he had gained at least three more nicknames that week.

"Fine, I know when I can't win an argument against you," Stiles gave him a smug smile, "I also remember the last time I didn't quit while I was ahead," his mock put upon sigh only earned him a laugh from his, now grinning, mate.

"Ooh, can I get my coffee with a side of unsubtle flirting too?" Peter's sarcastic question broke the unnoticed charge in the kitchen.

"No, I'm sorry but, people who go on dates with my best friend's mom don't get flirty banter from me, and I'm quite positive you don't want to add incest to your resume Peter," Stiles' comeback was paired with a mocking raised eyebrow towards the oldest wolf of the pack.

"Stiles it's not my fault that Melissa agreed to a date," Peter earned himself a disapproving look from Stiles with that excuse.

"It also not my fault if she refuses you medical service next time your ass ends up needing the hospital, won't be my fault if one of the pups tells her about this conversation either," Peter may say he was the most devious pack member but, moments like this reminded everyone that he was undeserving of the title.

"I already texted Mama McCall. She said "Tell Peter that talking about our date won't make his crush on a certain someone any smaller" so Peter, who's this mystery someone," Lydia, and the majority of the other pack members, entered the kitchen as she asked her question. Peter only blushed and said something about that women being a traitor.

"Whomever I so choose to speak to Melissa about is of no importance to you, because despite her having broken the sanctity of our standing wine night I refuse to," Peter answer earned quiet chuckle and knowing look from his nephew.

"Peter you are not nearly as subtle as you'd like to think you are," Derek left it at that, though he shared a knowing look with his mate; as Stiles was the one who pointed out his Uncle's crush to him.

When everyone was in the kitchen and all food was done being cooked the room became an assembly line till everyone was seated around the table. Quiet conversation was happening all around the room until it was disrupted by the sound of the doorbell. After a moment Jackson rushed to the door, soon the wolves of the pack continued eating knowing who it was from hearing them speak to Jackson. When Danny entered the room with Jackson he was greeted by everyone and given a hug from Stiles. After he had a plate of food he joined the rest in eating breakfast.

"Okay, for those who didn't hear me earlier, Stiles will be taking a break from cooking today, so I thought for dinner we could order some pizza and maybe buy Jungle Cruise on Disney+," Derek's announcement was met with general enthusiasm and agreement from the rest of the pack.

"You all still have training though, so whoever Derek says can skip the beginning gets to do the dishes. While you all train I'll be outside meditating to further understand my spark," After Stiles was done, Derek decided that Scott and Isaac had been doing well lately and could skip the first ten minutes.

In the back yard everyone had started on their beginning exercises while the non-wolf pack members did some stretches before Allison led them in self defense training.

Stiles had sat a few yards from everyone to be closer to the woods around the house and further from the noise soon to start. As soon as Stiles had a rhythm set up in his breathing he closed his eyes and let himself focus only on the feeling of the air around him. It was not long before he'd managed to also block out the sound of the pack. As he sat he began to focus on his pulse all throughout his body. When he was able to fully focus on his pulse he fell completely into the meditative state needed to discover the core of one's spark.

Hello everyone, I finally updated! Next update will start with an outside perspective while Stiles does all of this before going into his POV for the meditative state. That said don't expect the next update too soon cause I get caught up in other things.
