Alpha's Mate (second)

Episode-5

(Jungkook's POV)

I felt something weird within
me not a pain but a sensation I could only describe as fire and tingling with a level of
pleasurable pain through my body. Bane was going crazy to the point that I had to force him to calm down so l could think. Then, I heard it: "Someone get the pack doctor! Quickly!" It came from the garden where Joy was working with the new she-wolf. With my wolf speed, I ran to where they were in no time. She was out.
Blood was seeping from her mouth where it looked like she had bitten her lip. There were claw marks and scratches on her body.
She did this. I looked at her,
questioning as to why she would do this to herself, saddened by the sight.
I was concerned for her and did the only thing I knew to do. I lifted her up in my arms bridal style and took her to the pack doctor. I had already mind-linked him that he was needed and that I was coming with a new pack member to the infirmary.
'She smells sweet,' Bane said as he wanted her.
'She's not our mate; we had our mate. STOP IT' I said.
'But I want her!' Bane said.
'I know you do, Bane, but she
doesn't belong to us. I want her too. Like I've wanted no other she-wolf, but she's NOT OURS!' I yelled at him for making me think of the feelings I so desperately did not want to feel.
'She could be' Bane smirked and let me be as he slid to the back of my mind. I just shook my head at him in disbelief of his lustful behavior.

l arrived at the infırmary and laid her on the table as I slowly backed away. The doctor looked her over, and after about five minutes,
he said, "She's going through heat. Put her in a cold water bath to relieve some of the heat. She should be waking up soon."He said.
"She's not mated. How can she be going through heat?" I asked out loud.
"She was rejected, Alpha. That's the only explanation"' Joy freely spoke while she helped the pack doctor.
For reasons unknown to me, I felt sorry for her, but I could not and would not let it show.
"Thank you, doctor. Let me know if anything changes" With that, I turned to leave, just as calm as I was when l entered the room. Well, at least on the outside.
"Taehyung, make sure Joy gets her into her room safely when she awakes. Place a trusted warrior in front of her door so NO ONE can
enter her room unless I say they can. NO EXCEPTIONS! l do not want her raped while in heat" I said in my Alpha tone.
"Yes, Alpha Jungkook" he said and left the room to make the requested preparations.

Time skip:

As I walked past her room where she was now resting, Bane whimpered with longing. I was concerned for
her. But that was my job as Alpha to be protective over all my members. But it was more than that. I knew it, and so did Bane.
She'd been consuming my thoughts. I felt like I was going crazy without her. Without knowing her
touch. Without knowing her taste. Get it together, Jungkook!
Joy had come out of the room just as I was passing by, lost in my thoughts.
"How is she, Joy?
Has there been any change in her condition?"I asked.
"Afternoon, Alpha Jungkook, " she said with a small smile on her face.
"She is doing much better, sir. The initial pain has subsided, and her temperature has come done down significantly"
'Glad to hear the good news,' I nodded in approval. "Has she awaken from her sleep yet?"I asked.
"Yes, Alpha. She is still in pain, but she won't admit it out loud. She's a very strong young lady, Alpha' she said with much concern for her well being, Joy seemed to have gotten attached to her. I knew she would. Joy was like a mother to all young wolves with or without parents. I was thankful that Y/n had awoken and gave Joy a small
smile in approval of the good
news.
"Has she eaten anything since this morning?" I asked.
"Not yet, but she has asked for something. I was on my way to get it now" With concern in her eyes, she said, "There is something else
I think you should know about, Alpha Jungkook." I nodded for her to go on, and she did.
"While she was still passed out, we were drying her off from the bath and replacing her clothes."
She hesitated a moment, wringing her fingers.
"Go on, Joy, Just tell me what
it is" I said, trying not to
sound aggravated by the pause.
"Alpha, she has the mark." Joy looked at me with a deep concern for her newfound friend.
Wait! What?! She had the... mark?
How could that be? Only Elders or Royal blood could have the mark of power, and even then, it was told only the direct lineage of an Alpha Elder and Royals received it.
"Are you sure, Joy? Could it be something else?" Concern and disbelief appeared on my face and in my tone.
"No, Alpha. The doctor called the last living Elder to double-check it once found. She is special, no doubt. I don't understand how she
could have gotten this far without anyone else seeing it" There was concern in her voice and eyes as she said this.
"I don't think she even knows it's there, or what it
is if she does"she said.
"Why do you say this, Joy?"
I asked at her with confusion and interest.
"She told me she was abused by her old pack. Her own mate rejected her and abused her as well. Do you
think that's why she still feels the bond with her rejector even after he mated with another?"she said.
"Could be, An Alpha's bond is
stronger and harder to break. If she still wants her mate AND has the mark..it could be more dificult for her to break the bond with him. Especially if she doesn't know her lineage. She can bind herself to him without knowing it. Thank you, Joy. Let me know if something is needed. And Joy? Do not tell her if she does not offer. Understood?"
Bowing her head in agreeance, she said,
"Yes, Alpha Jungkook"
"Oh, and Joy?" She looked at me with a questioning look... "Get her something to eat." Winking at her, I left with a small smirk on my face. She smiled and nodded. Rubbing the back of my neck, I walked back to my office. She was not any she-wolf. She bore the mark of importance. Was she of
Alpha blood? Royal blood? What exactly did this mark mean andallow for her? What did this mean for my pack? I didn't know exactly.
'We need to protect her,' Bane said.
'agree',I said, nodding.

'I still want her', he whined in lustful adoration in spite of what he just found out. Even if it were true, and she did bear a mark. When she's strong enough, she will train with the others. We need to
make sure she's strong and can protect herself just in case I mind-linked Taehyung.
Then, Bane interrupted with, 'I can train her! Let me train her" Bane jumped in excitement.
'You just want to touch her and roll around in the dirt with her',I smirked.
'So, what if I do?' he said before he disappeared in acknowledgment that his motives had been discovered.
'You're like a horny impatient hotheaded teenager', Bane!
I smirked at my unheard comment, knowing it was true. I just sat there with a smile on my face, thinking about training her personally. Feeling her soft
skin. Inhaling her intoxicating scent. My eyes turned emerald with just the thought.
Bane must be close.
Distracted by my lustful thoughts, I was startled when Taehyung knocked on
the door. As I looked up at him, he said,
"Alpha. When did you want
her to start training?"
"As soon as she's well enough. What did the pack doctor say? Has she finished going through heat?"I asked.
"Yes, Alpha, she has. Her pain and heat have left her now."He said.
I felt relief within me, releasing a small breath I didn't realize was holding, while I looked calm and collected on the outside as I
said,
"Good. Have her brought to
my office right away, please.
Thank you, Taehyung', I said
A few minutes later, he returned with the new she-wolf.
