{ Calum }

Adley was clinging to me like a koala as she slept. She always does but this was definitely closer than normal. Normally, I'd ignore this and soak up this peaceful moment with my girlfriend, but unfortunately, I need to get up and get on a Zoom call with the guys and management then later call my parents.

I gently tried getting out of bed, but I woke Adley in the process which caused her to whine and reach out for me. I sighed and stayed for a minute, letting her cuddle into my side as her nails scratched my stomach,

"I need to get up in a few baby" I whispered. She nodded and wrapped her legs around my one. To be honest, I don't think Adley was even awake.

"You okay?" I asked, my lips still hovering hers,

I only laid there for a second before I got up and jogged to the bathroom, grabbing a towel and running back to clean Adley up.

"You okay?" I asked Adley as I pushed her hair from her face. She nodded with a dopey smile,

"I wanted to be close to you again" she whispered, "Plus I love you a lot"

"I love you too baby" I smiled and kissed her,

"Wait? You have a Zoom with the band" Adley panicked as I grabbed clothes from my dresser,

"I'm just skipping. It's already started" I told her. She nodded as I pulled on a new pair of boxers along with a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I then switched drawers and grabbed Adley a pair of underwear,

"Shorts or something else?" I asked,

"Shorts and your hoodie" she grinned. I smiled and grabbed what she said, then walked over in front of her. She got dressed and we headed out into the kitchen for breakfast.

{ Adley }

It was pretty late. Calum and I were sitting on the couch, FaceTiming his parents. It's crazy to think I have never met them in person- just over the phone.

"How has everything been? Are things getting easier?" Joy asked. When we first found out about the miscarriage, Calum had called his mom and he cried. He doesn't know I know that,

"We're doing a lot better. It was just a lot of emotions to sort through" Calum spoke, tucking me into his side,

"I mean, I know you guys are still young and only almost a year into your relationship, but did that miscarriage spark anything in your minds for future kids?" David asked. Calum and I looked at each other,

"We haven't really discussed it" Calum shrugged and I nodded. I'm not going to lie, I have thought about it, but I never said anything because I didn't want to freak Calum out,

"Maybe we should" I whispered so that only Calum could hear. He kissed my head in acknowledgment that he heard me.

After talking with Joy and David for hours, Calum and I settled in the backyard with a small fire going. Duke was already inside and in bed. I was lost in thought as I laid against Calum,

"Talk to me Addie" Calum spoke,

"Your mom asked if we talked about more kids. We haven't but I've thought about it a lot. I want to be a mom Calum, more than ever now. I know I'm only twenty, but I can't shake it off. I've always wanted to be a young mom, I just didn't know how bad until we lost our baby" I confessed, "I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to scare you. I have dreams about it. They all end with you taking off"

Calum sighed and pulled me onto his lap to where I was facing him,

"Adley, you can talk to me. I've been having the same thoughts. I want to be a dad, I always have been. When we were in the hospital, I hoped they were wrong about you miscarrying- that it was just a fluke and the baby was okay. I never once wished that you weren't pregnant. I didn't know how to bring up more kids because you are only twenty. I didn't want you to feel like I was ready to settle with life and force you to also" he spoke,

"Do you think we'd be ready? What would people say if we said we were trying for a baby?"

"Adley" Calum spoke and held my cheeks, "Baby, who cares what other people think. And yes, I think we're ready. To be honest, I think we would've been ready before even though we said we weren't"

I took a breathe and let out a nervous chuckle,

"I can't believe I'm talking about planning a baby at twenty years old"

"Me either baby" Calum laughed, "You're a hundred percent sure on all this?"

"I am as long as you are"

"I am. I'd do anything as long as I'm with you"
