Who truly Cares?
Do you?
Twenty souls float in the cold brine
In a quest to find a better life.
They are filled with hope
And desperation
The risks, immense
Do you care?
They lose the battle
And drown, their children
With them
Do you care?
The politicians
Resort to blame.
In their warm and comfortable seats
They resort to false promises.
Do they care?
Is this your land?
Is it mine?
Did we come from Africa?
Or was it Brixton?
If these dead souls were
To land upon your
Doorstep
Would you care?
Please remember this
If we do not care
We do not share
In humanity.
Do you Care?
