"Baylee didn't I tell you stop dressing like a little boy all the time you won't never get a boyfriend if you keep doing that , be more like your sister" My mom scolded as she was putting away the pots in the kitchen
I decided to walk out and see a group of boys playing basketball
As I walked up they was already looking talking
"Hey" I said
"Hey" the 3 boys said
"Can I play" I asked
"No" one of the boys said and the one next to him hit his arm
"You nice" one boy asked
"Yea I'm nice" I said as I put my hand out for the ball
"Okay you and Sin and me and JJ" he said passing it to me as I took my fitted cap off
"OH MANN he is a girlll" One said
"Girls can't ball" The other one said
"Ball better than you" I said rolling my eyes walking dribbling the ball as they mumbled stuff talking mess
I checked the ball up and I dribbled acting like I was going right then ended up going left making the boy stumble and I did a lay up.
The whole game me and the boy I learned as Q was making all the points going against each other until he pushed me and I fell in the grass scratching up my face.
They all stopped and looked at me until Q said something
"Told y'all girls can't play"

"She's alright just a small bruise" my dad said coming in the bathroom putting a band aid on the counter
As my mom put the band aid on the door bell rung
We walked to the door and I saw the boy Q and his mom with a cake in her hand
"Hey just here to welcome the new neighbors in" his mom said handing my mom the cake as they introduced there selves and talked
I really wasn't paying attention to them too busy looking at Q. He looked up at me making me look away
"Honey, put that on the table for mom." My mom said passing the cake too me
"Quince, help her." His mom said and we walked to the table he used his finger to pick some frosting up then putting it in his mouth
"So how come you can play basketball" he asked
"I just can." I said shrugging
