POV Karim

Where am I? Why is it that when I open my eyes, I can faintly see the red flashes of light growing and shrinking and I feel like my skin is touching the surface of a sandstone?

Ah, could it be this dream again? A nightmare that I often had when I was locked up behind the bars of a prison where I had to fight various types of strange creatures that were trying to kill me in an arena that was surrounded by a wall of fire that became a barrier so I couldn't get out of this dream and I had to kill all the monsters that were trying to kill me so I can wake up from this dream.

Damn, I hate this dream but, if I don't stand up to fight the monsters and strange creatures that attack me and try to kill me then I will continue to be trapped in this dream until I succeed in killing the monsters that were trying to kill me. There seems to be no other way, I can't stay here for long, I have to win this battle or I will continue to be trapped here.

Where is the Kujang that I often use as a melee weapon against the monsters that I will face? The Kujang should have been lying a few inches from my head which was still on the ground. I lifted and tilted my head so that my eyes could see whether the Kujang that I usually use in this kind of dreams was still lying right in front of my head or not and, it was true, the Kujang was still in lying in front of my head.

I tried to reach and grasp the handle of the Kujang that was lying in front of me with great difficulty then, after I managed to the handle and hold to the handle tightly, I stood up using all the strength that I had even though I could feel my body in a state of shock and weak because when I got up, my body wobbled here and there like a leaf that floated on air that was getting blown to various directions due to the wind that hit it.

When I was almost standing straight, my eyes that were still droopy could see blurry puffs of black smoke gathering in front of me and then, from behind that puff of black smoke, I could see a human figure running towards me then jumping and kicking my head. His kick was hard enough to make me who was still trying to gather my consciousness got thrown several steps away from where I was standing back to the ground.

Huh? What is this feeling? Why do I feel an extremely uncomfortable feeling settle in my head when I feel the world around me spinning? Oh yes, maybe this is what is called a headache and dizziness. I just remembered that in this nightmare, I can feel what people around me call as pain.

I vaguely saw the human figure who had kicked my head before walking towards me then, he took the Kujang that was previously in my grip from the ground. I, whose consciousness was fully gathered and saw him did this, immediately got up and put on my fighting pose while he ran with a sword in his right hand and the Kujang in his left lunged at me and swung the Kujang and the sword in his hands blindly to various parts of my body, especially the vital parts of my body such as my head, neck, chest, stomach, thighs and calves.

I tried to dodge his blind attacks like a dancer in a trance, moving and jumping here and there while looking for an opening to do counterattack and reclaim my Kujang. Damn, there are two weapons in his hands while I'm not holding any weapons. What can I do to distract him so I can find an opening to counterattack and reclaim my Kujang?

Oh yes, I just remembered in these dreams, I always wore a Bengker cloth that is tied around my head. The Bengker Cloth is quite large in size and I know what I can do with my Bengker cloth to break his attack and destroy his focus. Hopefully I'm succeeded in executing my plan, bismillah.

I tried to untie the cloth that was tied around my head while dodging the endless attacks that he launched at me. After I managed to remove the Bengker cloth that was tied on my head, I immediately avoided the swing of the blade of his sword that was trying to slash my neck by ducking and when the Bengker cloth in my right hand reached the sandy limestone floor, I immediately dragged the sand that covered the limestone that I stepped on, then when the Bengker cloth that I was holding was in the air, I shook the cloth at his face in the hope that the grains of sand that are stuck to the Bengker cloth flew over his face.
