___

Yvaine Agan had always led a quiet life and had expected to do the same when she moved to the small town of Andrasville. Little had she expected to encounter a message in a bottle dating back to the 1800s and the whispers that accompanied it.

As her curiosity grows she finds herself immersed in the mystery of the disappearance of Wilhelmina Andras and the darkside of the seemingly peaceful place. Will she be able to unravel the century-old mystery? Or will she be sucked into oblivion, becoming one more tragic memory of the town?

And most importantly, is the disappearance of Wilhelmina Andras the only conundrum that haunts Andrasville?"

Hello, fellow potential readers! This is my entry for the Open Novella Contest 2022 hosted by OpenNovellaContest. It's a short horror novella set in contemporary times. Well, the past plays a very important role in this but that's a topic to be discussed later ;)

This novella is based on prompt #56: A message in a bottle dating back to the 1800s sends you on a mysterious scavenger hunt.

Please don't copy my work, for then I'd have to report you to the Wattpad authorities.

Do give this a read and let me know your thoughts in the comments :-)

DISCLAIMER:

01: Do not skip the prologue. Please don't. It won't work out for you at all. This entire novella is based on the one incident happening in the prologue and there are abundant clues to the ending in the prologue. So if you skip it you are missing out on a lot.

02: I use both British and Indian grammar rules (I shall not speak about how accurately I do it). There will be loads of errors and everything regarding grammar, so please do point out but do not trash talk in the comments.

03: Do not read this book if you have thanatophobia. Thanatophobia is the fear of death and if you by chance have that, please don't read this book I am not ridiculing you but I am saying so for your welfare. This book is heavily based on death and beliefs surrounding death, which might be a very uncomfortable topic for many.

04: This is not a romance book. This novella is written in such a way that romance in any amount can't be permitted into the narrative.

05: This book contains violence, a little bit of gore, psychopathy and numerous instances of horrific phenomena. These are the few trigger warnings I ought to give to give all of you.
