One week later

"Ok I'm leaving" I say holding my bag Elaine looks over at me "you have fun" I nod "I'll try" her blue eyes sadden for me "you will have my dad that's a plus" I nod "I got to go bye love you" She smiles and waves "bye love you"

I pull up to Ken's house and get my bag, I came a day early so we both could spend the day together before we drove to my town, Ken had gotten us a hotel room well him a hotel room, I doubt my grandma would be ok with me staying with him anymore then I have

I knock on the door and a couple minutes of standing there the door opened and Ken stands there in sweat pants "hey sorry I was in the shower" he pulls me in and plants a kiss on my lips "it's fine" I smile moving some of his set hair the grey streaks no longer in view sadly "I want to take you out to dinner so get ready?" Ken asks I take my shoes off and put my bag down on the counter

"You can take me to dinner but I've been throwing up most of my food" I admit I've been sick since last week but it's become more frequent this past week "have you gone to the doctor that's not healthy?" Ken asks wrapping his arms around me I smile softly "yeah I will go Monday while I'm in town" he nods then rubs my hip "do you feel ok?" I nod "I'm fine"

"Let's go lay down I want to give you the ring it came in" I smile at his words then get in the pocket of my bag and hand him a box "I may or may not of got you a necklace" I tell him a laugh comes from him and he kisses my forehead "you didn't have too" I put my hands on his chest rubbing it "you didn't have to get me a ring, now open it" I place a kiss on his chest as he opens it

It was a black steel circle that had my initials on it "I love it" he says then takes it out of the box I get up on the counter and he hands it to me, so I could clasp it once it was I placed a kiss to one of the healing marks on his back "do these hurt?" I kiss another "not anymore I was washing my back with a new loofah and it got cut up so I was bleeding a little" my eyes widen "I'm sorry" Ken laughs at my words and turns back around "how dose it look?" I nod

that would look so hot hanging in my face while he thrust into me I know it, that's another reason I got it "I'll order some food do you want to go lay down?" He asks then picks me up I laugh "yes please, can you get Texas Roadhouse?"
"I can but I'll have to pick it up" he tells me as he starts to walk upstairs "I don't mind being here"

I slip the ring on as Ken turns the TV on, "I'll order now" he gets his phone sitting next to me once I tell him what I want he ordered "20 to 30 minutes" he says stretching out "let's see the ring?" I hold my right hand out and smiles I get my nauseous feeling "I'll be right back" I put my hair up

"Are you sure you want food right now?" He asked when I get mouthwash out his brown eyes filled with worry "I need something in something in stomach" he nods "I have ginger ale I'll get you some" he kisses my forehead and walks away

"ok so this uncle you should be cool with, my parents aren't in my life never really have been, my mom is in jail at the moment so she won't be at the wedding my dad I have clue if he is sober at the moment so he may not be there" I tell Ken as I take a bite of my salad "Jesus I didn't know about your parents I'm really sorry" I shrug "I had my uncle" he smiles softly and rubs my arm

"So everything will be ok? They won't mind I'm 15 years older then you?"
"My uncle is dating a younger women, he is 50 she is 32, my aunt is 35 marrying a 57 year old, age gaps are nothing new in my family" I say Ken nods "Elaine said you have a sister?" I bring up Ken nods "she lives in South Carolina we had a small falling out after our father passed"

"I'm sorry" he shrugs "do you have any siblings?" I shake my head "I had my cousin who was like a sister but she uh she passed away last year"
"I'm sorry" he says I smile softly

The next day the two of us take separate cars as I'll be staying longer, as we got to the hotel Ken will be staying at he checked in and put his things in the room while I threw up in the lobby bathroom making it back to my car before Ken would know, once I was back in my car Ken walked out couple minutes later

"Sad you can't stay with me" Ken says I smile softly he goes in to kiss me and I look away he sighs "when did you throw up?"
"While you were in your room" I take a drink of the ginger ale then start my car "also we can tell them you are Elaine's dad they would like you more" I smile looking at him

I open the door to Nana's house, and take a shaky breath "honey?" Nana says walking around the corner a smile on her face, her grey hair all frizzy and wild she looks at Ken and her eyes widen "you didn't tell me he was coming I would of done my hair!" She comes over and smacks my hand then sighs "I'm Carol!" She pulls him into a hug his eyes widen as he hugs her back
