Since Mr. Schue had told them all about who they were going to face for Sectionals, the Glee Club were slightly ashamed to admit they had gotten a bit lazy when it came to rehearsing, that could be seen by that day’s rehearsal, nobody fully taking in the instructions Mr. Schue was calling out to them.

“Five, six, seven, eight,” Mr. Schue exclaimed as he taught them all the new dance routine, but nobody was really getting into it, not even Sydney who was feeling slightly exhausted since her new daily runs and her new job at the Lima Cinema to get extra money for Finn and Quinn’s baby. “Step, turn, out, in, ball-change, step, ball-change, step.” He turned to the group while Artie, Finn and Kurt sat in their chairs, either on their phones or about to fall asleep. “You, you, you, you. And ba-ba-ba. Turn… Come on, guys, you’re sleepwalking on me here. Give me some energy. We’ve got Sectionals in two–”

“Please, Sectionals is going to be a breeze,” Mercedes interjected with her hands on her hips.

“Yeah, we’ve got it in the bag,” Sydney sighed, sharing a high-five with the other girl.

“Maybe so,” Mr. Schue shrugged, not happy with the lack of motivation, making him frown more when Artie yawned from behind him. “But if we coast through Sectionals, we’re gonna get killed at Regionals. We have got to be on our game.”
