Yes, but for what? No amount of bread and butter can satiate her— it's a longing. It consumes her every sense, her entire being. It's something she needs to devour whole.

Is she alone to blame? Is it not the fault of the father that has doted on her so? Or the mother that has deprived her of warmth? She is burdened by the crushing weight of being a daughter.

She is far too just for that. There is no fairness in the hands of men for they are far too wet with blood— the righteousness always slips through their fingers. No, Vevienne Vaele is violently egalitarian.

Well, they deserved it, of course. The lady does not inflict cruel or unfair punishment.

A/N: 🩸 i think it's probably embarrassingly obvious but i do Not have a plot for this fic LMFAOOOOO i initially wanted to write an aemond character study & so i just wanted to write about angsty kids and their bad relationships w their families <3333 and killing people obv 🩸 some characterisation/plot will be altered from the show version to the book version! like my biggest pet peeve, the mention of a song of ice & fire as a prophecy, is GONE! i HATE IT. alicent's motivation to get aegon on the throne is her own/more true to f&b, but everything else about her character still stands. i'm keeping everything else as a surprise though :p there's also some cannon divergence ofc ! 🩸warning! some characters in this are pure evil and although i don't condone their actions, i like writing murderous villains!!! there are a lot of dark themes in this fic; severe trauma/emotional abuse, graphic gore, mentions of SA & sex overall, death, all that jazz ! also in terms of relationships, there is the whole aegon/helaena & daemon/rhaenyra things that i HATE and will happily be shitting on! but toxic couples kinda run this thing otherwise lmaoooo 🩸 that aside i just want 2 inform u all that i've only been reading gothic lit and horror for the past three months and am ITCHING to write a gross macabre story like this !!!!!! and dying 2 write a relationship like aemond and vevienne's bc they're both awful and misunderstood in their own ways <3 🩸 dt protectremus bc i always always bother her with my fic ideas and she puts up with it<3 and also anyone who has shown interest in this fic bc u made me wanna post🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 LOVE U!!!!
