Lady Dimitrescu's Little One

chapter 5

Lady Dimitrescu POV

The hallway cleared out almost immediately as I left my room, leaving me with my clinging baby, god knows what my daughter's are up to

I asked them to make sure there is something for the little one to eat for dinner, and first thing she hears the moment she leaves the room is a loud crash that scares her

I held her close to my body and quicked my pace a little bit, taking long strides down the stairs but making sure not to too fast to startle or scare the little one

"What seems to be going on here?" I questioned in a firm tone keeping my eyes on all three of my daughter's who were covered in food from head to toe and in one corner of the kitchen all the maids had huddled together

I scanned around the room once again, when no reply came to me "I asked you three a question" I asked again making voice a little calmer and rubbing Helen's back who had clung close to me after I raised my voice

"W-we tried to make dinner for baby sister" Bela replied hesitantly being the only one with enough guts "and" I ask raising an eyebrow

"We um... We couldn't exactly figure it out, but we wanted to make something nice for her" Daneila spoke up, her hands going behind her back and all three of them avoiding my eyes

"Sweethearts that's we have maids to take care of all that, I just wanted you to make sure there was something for your little sister to eat not cook on your own" I explained in a soft voice, they were trying to do something nice I can't blame them for that

"Clean this up and come to the library when you're done, your sister and I will be doing choosing something appropriate for a bedtime story" I nodded once all three of them looked up and started cleaning

"Your sisters are always looking for trouble aren't they?" I cooed to my baby gently as we excited the kitchen and walked to the library her curious eyes glancing all around the castle

"Mama's house pwetty" She whispers softly her hand coming to clasp the neckline of my dress "it's not just mama's house it's your house too little one" I kissed her head gently and pushed open the library doors

"Do you wanna help mama choose a book for bedtime?" I asked softly smiling when she eagerly nodded her head and looked around the room

"Let's take a look around, your sister's should be here in a bit too, maybe you can ask bela to read you one, she loves books" I smiled as she listened attentively to each and every word giving me a big smile "such a good girl"

I made my way to the far right stopping in front of the shelf I had stocked up speically for my little girl and any other little if there were ever to come into my castle "pig! " She pointed to a book of peppa pig making me chuckle softly

"That's right that's a pig angel! Such a good girl" I praised her bending down and setting her on her feet letting her have a good look at all the books "moon mama" She said after a while of scanning through the books

"That's right that's the moon baby girl" She was pointing to the goodnight moon book "wan that pwease" She looked up at me with a hesitant look not sure if I would say yes or not

"Of course baby girl" I scooped her up and took out the book from the shelf making my way to a couch to wait for my older kids to come

"You want mama to read this to you now? We can read it again at bedtime if you like it" I asked softly looking at my little girl who had settled comfortably on my lap, her paci in her mouth and the picture book open in her arms

Helene POV

Mama was gonna read the pretty book to me! It looked like a good book and reminded me of the moon on dark nights

Mama started to read softly pointing to each and every word as she spelled it out making me look at her in awe

It was a really good book! I really enjoyed reading with mama and snuggled into her as she finished the book and just then all of my sisters came in, looking much cleaner than before

"Hello baby sister, come on dinner is ready" Bela said with a smile and I waved at her shyly "let's get your tummy filled up sweetheart, mama said with a soft smile as she stood up with me in her arms again

Instead of resting my head on mama's shoulder I played a eye game with Cassandra while we made it to the kitchen

Every time our eyes met she would make her eyes go cross eyed making me giggle and squeal "what's got you giggling all the way to here baby girl?" Mama asked me as she sat down on her spot strapping me into a booster seat making me frown "playin wif cass" I replied with a smile tugging on my straps

"Ah ah they stay little one, let's see what we have for dinner today" Mama said picking up the covers and dinner started

So if you guys read my previous book you know that the good night moon is my absolute favorite book for when I'm little it will forever hold a special place in my heart
