They say the pen is mightier than the sword.
House Baratheon spits on the notion. There are many things mightier than swords— battle axes and war hammers, to start— but a pen is not one of them. After all, what are words to men that settle their debts in blood?
Indyra Baratheon has not inherited the ferocity that drives the rest of her family. In the heart of every Baratheon, a storm rages something fierce, it is tumultuous and volatile and stinks of steel. Indyra's anger is clean-cut and concealed, hidden beneath pretty linens and a coy smile. House Baratheon is the sharp, serrated edge of the sword that will dominate the Seven Kingdoms. Indyra is the blade that dulls after it is left unused in the dark.
It is a common misconception, however, that she is dreary and unfeeling, that she cares not for things other people do, that she lives life cautiously without a hint of passion for anything. House Baratheon is angry at the world, but Indyra is angry at the power that rules it.
Monarchy has never sat right with her. She would never invite monarchy to a cup of tea or a stroll in the gardens. She would smite it if she could, behead it and place its head on a pike for all to see. Her fury is a weapon she wields secretly, and takes the form of written word.
Is the pen truly mightier than the sword?
Indyra Baratheon will prove it so.

A/N: i adore jaime lannister and i wanted to do a lil character study moment w him bc i think he's one of the most interesting characters in asoiaf, esp bc his inner turmoil is pretty overlooked 🕺🏻 so this fic will switch between robert's rebellion era to s2-3 so we can see how indy and jaime have changed throughout the years :p indyra's whole existence revolves around being a secret revolutionary, like robin hood meets les amis de l'ABC if u know what i mean :33 she is a baratheon through and through 💪🏼🔥🔥🔥 and her plots may or may not interfere with her cousin robert's reign! who knows! anyway as always this story does have a cheating trope along w all the other gross gory shit in game of thrones but it serves a purpose wallah☝🏼❕❕ ummmm i don't think i have anything else to say about this i could've sworn i did but I GUESS NOT!!! enjoy !!!!!! <3
