"I Blinked"

I blinked,
and i'm back to where i was 3 years ago,
I blinked, and it's 5am again

I stare out the window,
the pattern of last nights rainfall matching the stains on my cheeks

I blinked, and i'm back to where i started
I blinked and i'm 13 again

I hang out the window,
inhaling that fresh morning air,
exhaling vapours of blueberry and guilt

I blinked and i woke up
with zero hours of sleep furling my mind
to prepare for the next race.

I blinked, taking in the tiny lights of
the big town

I realised, that as soon as i blinked
my vision blurred more and more,
to the point where I swear i could see my guilt floating back to me
