Her hair, as dark as a moonless night, flowed in seamless perfection down to her hips, exuding a sense of timeless beauty. Her eyes were labradorites glowing in the night, with long dark lashes gracing her features. The once-elegant dress now bore jagged tears along the hemline, revealing the frayed threads underneath. Stains marred the delicate fabric, leaving dark splotches that refused to fade. But nothing could plunder such beauty in Viktor's eyes.

The alpha finds himself lost in her menacing gaze, unable to utter anything but: "Mate . . ."

In the roaring 1930s, amidst the glitz and glamour of Monville town, a dark secret lurks in the shadows. A notorious abductor terrorized many young maidens during his stay; each looking very similar to the last. The reign of terror abruptly ended when the snatcher vanished, taking his final victim, Rochelle Burton, with him. The town was left in grief but was finally free from the clutches of evil. No one ever found the women, even as generations flew by.

But the nightmares of the past resurface in an unexpected twist. Fast forward eighty years to modern times in the 2000s, when the echoes of a forgotten tragedy emerge from the depths of the grave. The Nightfall pack, a close-knit community of werewolves hidden in plain sight as the West Bend town, has tragedy placed upon them when the returned abductor captures one of their she-wolves.

Sheriff Viktor Ferrell, the determined protector of West Bend and Alpha of the Nightfall pack, sets out to find this senior kidnapper and uncovers the last missing lead that shatters his reality: Rochelle Burton, the woman believed to be the taker's last victim, has risen from the dead, trapped in a state between life and death. Although she possesses most of her memories, the trauma of her murder has been erased from her mind. All she knows is that she is now an undead being with no beating heart and lungs that do not breathe.

With a mixture of shock and devotion, Viktor realizes that Rochelle is his long-awaited mate, fate binds them together in unexpected ways. Determined to unlock the truth behind her resurrection and restore Rochelle's memories, Viktor and Rochelle embark on a perilous journey into the depths of the supernatural world that surrounds them.

As they navigate through a treacherous landscape of hidden alliances, rebellious rogues, and forbidden truths of the past, Viktor and Rochelle must protect the Nightfall pack from evil. Along the way, they also find the truth behind her resurrection, confront their shared past, and uncover the traitors lying within Viktor's pack.
