N I N E vomiting & confrontation
EMERSON ARRIVED AT cassie's house for maddys birthday party. she wore baggy jeans and a random cropped shirt
emerson bought maddy a dress that she talked about for a long time, it was purple and suited maddy
maddy opening everyone's birthday gifts besides em and cass. she opened cassie's as it was bunch of memories and stuff to their friendship
maddy teared up as she got up giving cassie a hug, opening emerson's gift as she gasped
"no way" she whispered before hugging emerson and smiling about the gift, before they took pictures of the stairs
showing off the matching bracelet they both now have, "the hot tub ready?" em asked as lexi nodded. getting ready to go into the hot tub.
but first, they wanted cake. but instead of cassie being there, she was drinking. and by drinking, she was chugging a bunch of alcohol
everyone was talking, while cassie sat on the stairs. emerson walked by her to grab her bag, for her bathing suit
"do you think nate's still coming?" she asked as em shrugged "i don't think it matters" em spokr
she didn't respond, emerson walking back to everyone with her bag so they can go into the hot tub
everhone was in the hot tub, even nate. since he arrived. but cassie came a little bit after and she fell onto nate
"happy birthday" cassie said "thank you" maddy spoke "i'm so glad you guys are back together. eaowww" bb spoke
"we're not back together" maddy spoke "you're not?" cassie asked "no" nate spoke very quickly
"i mean, i was gonna say no but why are you saying no?" she asked "um, because we're not" "i know, but why do you sound so definitive about it?"
"i wasn't being definitive" "it sounded like it" "no i mean she jsut asked a question-" "that you didn't have to answer"
"oh okay yeah" "but you did." "i don't understand what we're arguing about" "you and your tone" "but we're not back together"
"uh, yet" he said "i mean why don't you just say, we're working it out." she said "you literally just said you were gonna say no"
"right but that's me" "meaning what?" "meaning when i say it it's means somethign totally different" "it might seem that was in your head, maddy, but it's the same word"
"yeah, but it's also the speed with which you said no" maddy spoke getting irritated "aw, gimme a fuckin break" "it was quick," "it wasn't, no" "it was like a reflex" looking at her friends
em nodded and so did kat "it was like his natural instinct, right?" "it wasn't" he said "it was hasty" kat said "you see?" maddy spoke
"you really think she's gonna disagree with you?" nate asked "if i disagreed with her then i would" kat said
"okay" he said "what, you don't think i have a mind of my own?" she asked "no, i'm sure you do" he said "ooh, he's such a cunt!" maddy said clapping her hands
"what the fuck is your problem?" kat asked "you see, i'm not crazy right? because he's always tryin to gas light me" maddy spoke
"look i don't wanna argue about this" he said as emerson frowned, inviting nate was a bad idea
"you see this is why i don't believe you, when you make all these promises. and you're like, oh let's get back together"
"you're the only person in the world i care about, you're a goddess and it's my fault for not treating you like a goddess, i promise maddy i'll change i'll grow. i'll be better i don't deserve you"
"but i love you, please when i go to college move with me, marry me. have my babies" and right when maddy finished her sentence cassie threw up everywhere
"oh fuck no" em spoke quickly getting out, as she gagged. walking inside the house to grab a towel and change back into her clothes
as she changed, you can hear cassie yelling and crying. emerson walked down the stairs as cassie was going up crying
looking at nate, emerson gave her a weird look before shaking her head no, and looking through her contacts for a ride home
she couldn't find anyone, but one stood out to her. ashtray. she clicked on his name and texted him, he responded immediately
emerson can u come get me????? at casssies
ashtray yeah u good?
emerson i'll explain when u get here
before shutting her phone off and saying goodbye to her friends. heading outside and patiently waiting for ashtray to arrive
